Colciago was moved to the back of the grid because of a confrontation with Dirk Muller in race 1.

Coronel is moved to 2nd, Tarquini to 3rd.

If Giovannardi manages to pass too then it's gonna be Jorg's title. But Coronel has slipped wide... Tarquini back into second!

Now Tarquini has a new lease of life - he's going for the lead again!

Coronel back into second! Tarquini tried to pass for the lead and Coronel just tucked up behind Muller and used the slipstream to pass Tarquini.

Colciago into fourth though and acting as wing man to Tarquini. It's going back towards Alfa now!

Whilst this was a good race the BTCC tends to pull it out the bag more often and produces closer racing more often than not. But the cars are so similar that I put this down mainly to the circuits used - Silverstone, Magny-Cours, etc. will never produce racing like you get at Donington, Brands, Oulton, etc.

I agree, the British circuits produce closer racing.

tell me about it . .. i remember that in 2001 they would reverse the whole grid .. and god knows how some managed to win both races .....
so .. RATEL .. please .. make the races longer ... at least 50% longer ...

excellent last race - I enjoyed that.
The team work was pretty impressive - they all ganged up on each other... very good.

So - what happened to Yvan - he started but didn't finish?

Great attempt by Andy P. Pity he was spun.

Yes indeed, on the replay Tarquni went into the back of Huisman and that caused Priaulx to spin! Shame Jorg didnt take the title in the end but Giovarnadi never really looked like he had the pace to come past. In fact hes not shown much pace all year really, perhaps Giovarnadi should have stuck with Alfa Romeo.

Still all in all a great 2nd race and a great season, the title went right down to the wire, this is how touring car racing should be.

For all Alfa Romeo enthusiasts it was an end nobody really expected after yesterday's qualifying chaos. We're happy

It was Larini that finished behine Tarquini..well done to Gabriele he's been pushed off in the title deciders before!

Would Colciago's possible disqualification from race 1 have any effect on the championship ?
(I'm guessing it would put Tarquini on 107 points ??)

Longer races would be good if they were on shorter circuits but while the GT cars are on the bill I don't see that happening.
