It doesn't really matter which one of them turns out to be right as the season progresses. What matters is the attitude of the drivers and how that is reflected across the team. And even if what is said to the media is different to what is said in private, the key is staying on message and giving the right impressions.
As far as the media is concerned, JPM is definitely the one giving the right message. And I'd have thought a more upbeat approach from the driver must help within the team too - "come on guys, we've got some catching up to do, but we can work on this, and if you give me the right car I won't let you down..." |

ON the other hand we have to say that also FW bosses made some wrong moves, first of all such a loud criticism abour how Ralf raced at Bahrain, honestly a positive attitude must be kept by everyone with the squad, starting from the top.
Once again, it's the team spirit that is scarce at FW. |

What a silly thread!
Is being realistic giving up? I do not think so... |

Both are close to right and both comments shouldn't be taken too seriously

With both on their way, I wonder at what stage they will begin to mentally 'check out' anyway. It's human nature.
If Williams does not perform well, that 'check out' could be far sooner than the end of the season. In other positions, when they know people are going they walk them off the premisis. That clearly can't happen with a driver, but at what stage will they not be told what that small black widget which is just being installed in the car is? As we all know, such is the development secrecy that Williams will have to withhold info at some point. It happened to Jense at Renault for example. So, Williams could have other dynamics that mitgate against 'catch up' as the season progresses. |

He's nowhere near Michael's level, and I'm not sure anyone can possibly beleive he is.
Even if the title is out of reach (and it's too early to sayt hat it is, anythign can happen) race wins, poles and podiums certainly aren't. So far, it's looked clear that Montoya has more hope of taking those. |

Well he really is! Frank Williams, Ptrick Head and Ron Dennis think so hence I dont have to listen to garbage coming from people who have never been to a pitstop in their entire lives and watch F1 on TV!
Again, that mentioned I do think that Montoya lacks the mental preparation, confidence and experience that Michael possesses. When I say 'on the same level', I mean that he is not intimitated by MS. Others are. |

What a strange interpretation of "on the same level"!
So as an expert you KNOW others are imtimidated by Schuey? Kimi, Button, Alonso? Bernoldi was not intimidated by Coulthard at Monaco but are they on the same level? I don't think so. What are you on about! Next you'll be saying I want to kill my father and marry me mum... |

Well, JPM insist that there is nothing wrong with the way Williams have begun the F1 season.
"Our car is not uncompetitive. We were second in Malaysia and finished in the points in Australia so the car is good. But at the moment it is not yet a winning machine. Let's hope that changes soon." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/3638633.stm |
