manwell is right, both will be at Williams this year. It is only who will be the tester and who will be the racer.

If Pizzonia gets the seat next to Webber, i hope Webber kicks his backside just like he did at Jag. I have no respect for Pizzonia after his comments in Germany last year.
If Pizza does get the drive, it will be because of the increased Petrobras sponsorship on the car, not his talent. Im my honest view, Heidfeld is much more talented, experienced and consistant then Pizzonia will ever be. |

Between Webber, Heidfeld and Pizzonia they have a grand total of one podium.
Whoever they pick they have no experience at the sharp end, for what theoretically is a championship winning car. |

If it's true, then Frank and Patrick have made a wise call. I still think Heidfeld's a champion in the making, and have done for more than five years now.

IMO, I'd much rather take a Minardi drive over a Williams test role, because, for Pizzonia, if he doesn't get the drive this year, he's never going to get it, except if one of the Williams drivers gets injured and he subs and wins the race he subs in. Then maybe another team will sign him. You get much more attention on the grid than on private test days.

I don't know who it'll be, I'd rather have Heidfeld over Pizzonia, but it'd be about bloody time they said it. About a month to go for the start of the championship!

I know....! Jordan and Minardi we can let it slide if they don't announce their drivers till the first practice session, because they are Jordan and Minardi, but this is WILLIAMS!!!

Williams have a precedant of announcing drivers in the off season.
IMO it does matter that the three drivers only have one podium between them. I think all of them can do the job, but it is a small hurdle for them to pass. It may happen at the first race, which would be ideal, however they have done little winning in F1 and that is not as good as achieving much and being settled. Everyone has to start somewhere, but there are always question marks (rightly so) until they do. |
