At the very earliest it will be after the days testing .... beyond that I couldn't say.

There will also be an auction in aid of Great Ormond St Childrens Hospital during or after the BBQ.

Luckly for you Gridlock no to the cooking.

I only cook at private parties during MG meetings for the prisedents table or for anyone awake before 12 hours of Lawn Mower racing.

It would be silly to suggest that numbers are good, but it's similar to last year and more are doing the whole run rather than individual days. That should make the nights easier.
Shifts in the start/pits should match those on the bank which will make socialising easier.
I will be up on Friday, so will see most of you then.

What about cooking for the Jonny Herbert Suite at the MG meeting this year? Sorry but you cant be relied on to cook at the lawn mowers as you go to sleep on the job and you couldnt even keep the chief marshal awake???????

Just had to return tickets for this weekend, financial restrictions unfortunately can't justify the Land Rover going to Snetterton (best part of £80-£100 in fuel, and it's money I can't spare). The joys of running a cassic car Sorry Pete.

Have fun everyone.

Hi Andrew.
Yes I do have Photographic evidence that shows just how alert senior officials need to be at Lawn Mower Racing. Will have CD for you.

GT3 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi

I know this is a last minute thing, but after getting over the cold i've had all week I've decided to give the 24hr a go, so.................

Does anybody know what the sign-on time for Marshals tomorrow is by any chance, I was given a spare ticket because i didn't originally volunteer to go!?

Thanks

Steve (GT3)

Thanks!

I think I've just about recovered from the weekend - a really well-run meeting. The marshals may have been a little short, but Race Control knew that and didn't expect too much from us.
Big thanks also the the 2CV drivers for the invite to the Hog Roast on Friday; and especially to Pete Sparrow for giving the group of us sat in Tyrells after the race a bottle of bubbly to say thanks - much appreciated. And, of course, well done Tete Rogue!
Thanks also to the Caterham Graduates for some great racing - very interesting to see the onboard of the incident at Riches in the Mega's on Sunday after dealing with it.
Good to catch up with a good selection of tenthers too, here's hoping that we can still have a race next year

Just one more thanks I forgot to mention - to MSV for the Marshal's Hospitality Tent and bus. A very nice facility to go to between shifts

To reinforce Asp's comments re bubbly; Many thanks to Pete & Tete Rouge and all the 2CV drivers and team members in Tyrrell's after the event for the bottle of bubbly that they very kindly passed over to our table as a thank you.

After Asp and Pete Harding left, the 2CV guys, without our knowledge, passed the trophy around Tyrrell's and then came over to us and emptied the contents onto our table and said that it was a small gesture in recognition of all the marshal's efforts over the weekend and have a drink on them. The contents totalled £160.00 !!! They said we could use it as we wish. What a brilliant thought and it was really appreciated by our crew.

But as Snet marshals couldn't have run the event without the help of so many visiting marshals we have decided that it is only fair to donate the money to the Motorsport Safety Fund unless anyone has any major objections.

Many thanks to Pete Harding, Mike Whitney and all the BARC team for a really enjoyable and well run 2CV 24hrs - certainly the most enjoyable so far! - hope you've all managed to catch up on some sleep. Here's to the next one, at Snet I hope?

Also thanks to Richard, Terry and Harry for their help on my shifts, together with that of our regular crew which made the hours seem to pass very quicky. Harry, glad to see you got back ok with little in the way of hold ups - hope to see you at Snet again soon!

Likewise, thanks to MSV for the use of the hospitality unit, Pete, I agree that the session we had up there watching TopGear with you all was great fun, and being able to top up on the caffine injections between shifts certainly kept me awake.

PS Pete I haven't forgotten about Project X, hopefully I'll have time to e-mail you tomorrow!

Thank you MSV for the drying out area after the little rain showers we had.

So nice to meet so many Ten-Tenthers in one place, I can now put more faces to names. Great weekend roll on next year.

Ian Gaw should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

For those who are interested there are, photos, reports, and results on the 2CV Racing website. What a superb weekend! Now back to reality after leisurely trip home on Tuesday. We slept so well at Travelodge near Mildenhall on Monday night that Anne and I missed the Golf being parked inside a Traffic sign.Watching the recovery on Tuesday am was interesting!!It took Four police Cars to block of the A11 and side roads and one recovery vehicle!Nowhere near as efficient or effective as we Volunteers.Hope to see you all again next year wherever the 24hr Race is held.
