Well, I was having quite a nice race at Monza in the Ferrari - just beginning to find a little speed and running 3rd or 4th, when another guy in a Ferrari (admittedly quicker than me) took me out. It was a shame. I only did a 29.17, but thats close to my race best of 29.12.

I was in 3rd at one point having started in 16th. I managed to weave my way through the carnage at the start and then the inevitable group of fast guys found their way past me. It was the 1st time I had raced the Eagle (which is as you say very nice).
What really annoyed me is that I could see one guy gaining on me so not wanting to ruin his race, I moved off the racing line into Lesmo 1, he came charging past and screwed up lesmo 1 and ended up nudging the barrier, not wanting to screw my race up I went back under him on the racing line and stayed on line for lesmo 2. So the dork then goes charging into lesmo 2 and hits me up the backside. He then has the gaul to call me a ****! What is it with some people on VROC? I think I qualified a 1:31.5 in the eagle which wasn't herrendously slow but some seem to think that its not for them to make a safe clean pass on you and for me to get out of their way! I hung around in chat at the end of the race and told the abusive ones to have a look at the replay and see if they could learn something about race etiquette. Not that they will! Will be on there later if you are around. |

You will get them, and usually they're not worth bothering over. In fact, most of the time they'll disconnect before the end.
They're best ignored, without a response they look even more pathetic swearing to themselves. It does irritate me though, as far as I am concerned, the only words which should be exchanged during a race are the various forms of saying sorry. The two things which irritate me most are those who will insist on interupting everyone else's race by screaming abuse at someone over the chat; and those who type stupid messages like "I've crashed at turn 3, lost wheels, watch out". In the former case the worst I've had in the end caused me to quit the race I was so distracted. Two guys had had a coming together and one of them was cursing the other guy's close family and in-laws for about 10 minutes using all sorts of foul language. In the latter, usually by the time they've finished typing the message someone has already hit them so it's pointless... |

I remember a race with a full field, Spa I think it was. Two guys who were obviously mates were "eliminated" early on - actually Eau Rouge on L1, I suspect, and then they spent the whole of the rest of the race just chatting....... We were getting line after line of completely inane conversation while everyone else was trying to race. Just unbelievably selfish.......

A word of advice dont get in Hristo Christov S way he gave me a load of abuse , its because they are aliens and think the whole track belongs to them.
That why i started my league of Gentlemen. Which reminds me Scott GBGPL starts soon Pete |

I only do pick-up races if I go on with any Ten-Tenthers who may be on VROC. There's normally carnage at the start and then half of them disconnect. From a grid of 20 at Monza you're lucky if 4 finish at the end. If you're unlucky you get the odd wrecker. If you want to enjoy proper racing then a league is the only way to go. |

The TTFRL GPL server is up at the moment.
Int Short. 30 minutes practice. Track cycle: Zandvoort, Kyalami, Spa. I'm still trying to get to the bottom of the ping indicator which will get the server listed as green. Enjoy! |

time, erm, I dunno. Just put it up at some point in the afternoon, and put a note here and I'll probably see it. How long do you normally leave it running?
Track cycle; how about - Watkins Glen, Crystal Palace (if you have it) and Nurburgring. |
