That timetable is now out of date, as Caterhams are now qualifying on Monday morning and having both races during the rest of the day.

So how are they going to be fitted in because the original timetable looked very tight without anything untoward happening?

I'd make sure we all take plenty of butties and drink, as we'll only get around 15 mins lunch on saturday and around 5 mins on Monday!

I suspect that something from Monday will move to Saturday. Or something else on Monday isn't happening... not sure!

Well to be honest, you'll only know actual timetable 6pm Monday

The good thing about the above provisional timetable, is that it gives a basic idea of what is happening when

But surely you're just repeating what all novices are told on their first day?

Timetables are works of fiction, come prepared for the worst and you might enjoy your day.

Has anyone got any spare tickets?

Fresh from my first experience at EERC I want to continue, but speaking to Margaret seems they have all been sent out...

Cheers,

Ian

We should have, but I can't be sure at the moment. Mine arrived on Friday, but KayBee's haven't arrived yet, so we're wondering whether she's been missed off the list, in which case she'll have to use my spare. I'll try to get it sorted on Monday, by which time somebody else will probably have offered you theirs!

I volunteered (late) via brsccnw, who's forwarded my details to MSV. As I too haven't had tickets, I'm wondering if this meeting is oversubscribed with marshals - something I can't quite get my head around.

Is this the case, or have I (and several others) simply been overlooked? I can only make the Saturday, so if we have just been 'missed off the list' has anyone got a spare ticket I can have to marshal on Sat? Ta!

Phil Ackerley has also not received a ticket so if anyone has spares for him too please PM me and I'll let you have his address.

I am sure there will be enough marshals to hold hands around the circuit so please don't shout at me if it takes an hour for me to sign you all on!!!!

Sounds like oversubscribed to me. Think I'll stay home.

PM sent! However, his tickets may be in the post. Mine arrived on Friday, postmarked the 6th, but KayBee's didn't arrive until today - the postmark isn't very legible, but it's either the 8th or the 9th.

Going back to camping matters, I have no instructions regarding camping over the Easter weekend, has anybody heard anything? There is also a rumour that there will be no toilets facilities for the marshals camp site.

Apparently this rumour has now been quashed. There will be toilets and showers available somewhere near the camp site.

Me and the missus are going on Monday. We haven't been to The British GT/F3 at Oulton before. I went to Oulton for the first time for the EERC meeting last Saturday. At the EERC meeting I was able to drive around the infield rather than having to abandon the car in a certain place. Its better that way because its quicker and easier to move to a different viewing point between or even during races. The point I am taking my time to get to is- Can anyone tell me if you normally have to abandon your car for the bigger meetings such as British GT/F3 at Oulton, or will I still be free to drive around the infield? I am a fan and not a marshall btw.

Get there early enough and you can still park "anywhere" though I would forget about moving around later with it, wherever you move to you will be parking "at the back" if you can find space at all.

It will be much busier than saturday. I would choose a good spot and get "settled in" for the day, use the car as a base and wonder around if you wish, remembering you will lose your spot by the fence also.

(I have just remembered why marhshalling is so much better than spectating!)

Thanks for you reply Ian. We will get there as early as we can. Only problem is we have a 3 hour drive and the missus will moan if I make her get up to early!

Good point about marshalling being better. When you are a marshall there is no danger of you loosing your viewing spot or having to attempt to look over someones head!
