Well I told you I would have a good one from Donington today and this is a corker:
"I qualified near the back of the grid in the two races because first gear was where second should be 2nd was where 1st should be, 3rd was where 4th should be and 4th was where 3rd should be!" And I swear this was 100% true and the result of a gear linkage change and it was not obvious at first either as I had just put a lower diff in and 2nd still felt lower than the old 1st (have I lost you yet because it lost me and I nearly blew another engine by several times changing from 4th to 3rd!) |

OK, this is me getting my excuse in early:
I've never driven Silverstone before so I'm using TOCA Race Driver to learn the circuit. If the corners ain't where "Codemaster" reckon they are... then it's NOT MY FAULT! |

Now you've got me worried.... are you sure the first corner at Silverstone isn't a 1/4 mile long 180 deg right hander? |

Heard at the hairpin at Cadwell Park from 1 or 2 that have missed the braking point and overshot " bit too much brake fade" to which the observer replied "was that Brain fade"

There are better games (I should say, simulations) available for your PC than TOCA, and you can download Silverstone (all variants) for quite a few of them. |

I hit you because you were slower than me.
I didn't have a chance to change the tyres over after the last race. Err, it was SIX WEEKS since the last race. I had all my wisdom teeth out two days ago (my explanation for my first ever race win). I had a hangover (Escort driver after blitzing the lap record at Anglesey, funnily enough he couldn't repeat it sober!). |

Muttering from Jaguar XJS driver at Regate a few years ago "My man put the wrong tyres on".
Also you wouldn't believe the number of invisible oil slicks I've been informed of!! |

[QUOTE=dtype38]Doh! Now I'm so confused I don't even know my first corner from my second corner.....QUOTE]
And there's your next excuse - isn't Becketts (where the National & International circuits split) technically the 3rd corner if you include the Maggots left hander? |
