All,
Kind find a training day, then why not look at www.volunteersinmotorsport.co.uk All the organising clubs have provided their date to ViM and it's posted on one central website, just follow the CAR RACING and TRAINING links on the ViM site. For each day there is a, a contact name b, a contact phone number c, a contact email address d, (where know) an organising club web link e, a brief overview of training provided on that day If anything changes, and some have since the ViM Race Training Leaflet and associated posters were printed last year, the organising clubs are advising updates to ViM and any changes are usually actioned with 24hrs. |

Barc/brscc
I have offers for training days for both the BARC and the BRSCC.
Which should I go to? The BRSCC one is at BRands, about 20mins away...whilst the BARC one is at Oulton park about 2hours away! Is there any difference in what you do? I am only a trainee! Thankyou |

I think you must be travelling by Tardis. Brands to Oulton is about 3 1/2 hours by normal car. So I would go to BH. By all means go to Oulton for a race meeting - you will enjoy it and it will broaden your experience. Regards Jim |

Sorry. I am a moron...I meant Thruxton, not Oulton!
Brands for the BRSCC date and Thruxton for the BARC! The travelling does not both me at all...but is there any point going to both? And also, what is a MSA number? Do I need one yet? |

I think my answer is still pretty much the same in principle.
Go to the most convenient for date/distance. If you go to BH, then you will get a training day which covers much the same ground as any of the other training days and any differences will be BH-related and so probably sensible if you are going to go there most often, initially at least. No problem in going to both, particularly if you intend going to both BH and Tx sometime during this year, but not needed. As a trainee you will not have an MSA number yet. You will either get one when you complete the grading requirements for "Course" or, more probably, when th new and improved MSA grading scheme gradually brings trainees into it over the next few months.
