There's no excuse for Red Bull to be behind Williams this year, yet so far they are. That is with two teams to get test data from, superior engines, and much greater funding. The fact that it is DC (regarded as a poor qualifier) rather than Webber (regarded as a good qualifier) doing the short runs in testing so far implies that Mark is not yet popular within the team. Many times we have seen his excessive ego and negative attitude, and immediately after joining a new team is not the time to be at it again.

Blunder had his chance, there are just way too many young talented drivers who are faster. Let's face it, he had ONE sensational race at Jaq, then it has been a series of under deliveries.

Ego???? Webber?? What?
I'm not a fan, but I have never got the impression he has a big ego, far from it in fact. Some of the bashing in here is getting a little tiresome. |

Webber is a good driver no doubt about, he needs to be in a top team to showcase what he has. We've only been able to see a few good performances from the Aussi in a few races like at Jaguar qualifying top 2 at Malaysia etc, and running top 3 at Monaco this year.
Whether Red Bull makes it as a top established team or not Mark can only score a few points here or there. |

He was having a fine race in Monaco until the engine exploded, was he not?

I thought you were leaving the "darkside" in 2005 when you seemed to relent a bit and you were quite impressed with Webber. Nevermind. as for the bit about the Aussie press - there basically is NO Aussie F1 press - pro or otherwise (Mark Who?) |

Genuine question.
Back in '99 when he was at Le Mans with MB and suffered that horrendous flip-over accident, I don't recall him being critical of the team at the time or afterwards. That being the case what is it that has changed? |

Webber is not bashing just saying what he thinks, if he was bashing williams he had plenty of times to do it during last season but always kept a cool head, i believe if we seen half the questions asked to get these type of responses we wouldn't be saying the things we do.
just like Alonso with Schumacher the several 'comments' made about Shumacher seemed to be like he was bashing but i believe had we seen the questions asked we would be more satisfied with those comments. |

As a paydriver Power would of been like Firman or Pantano I think. They are obviously talented, but it didn't show when they were in F1.

If you look hard enough there is potential. Difference between potential and reality? Here is to hoping the car is reliable and Webber can build on last year, just as he built on his 2005 season. I was never ahige fan in the early daysm, being an Aussie myself i was pretty hard on him. But im becoming a believer...slowly |

He has a right to feel comfortable in the car...and he will in time. |

Not the first time a drive has trouble fitting, Berger spent 5 years complaining about the lack of room he had. Generally if you look at the quotes and not the rubbish around it there is nothing in this.
Why am I typing this: Please let this post die |

Exactly. Doesn't know he's born. When I were a lad we ad to get up three hours before we went to bed, sweep the cess pit out, and all before breakfast, which were a handfull of cold poison. Mark's got it easy.
