I feel for you Alex. When you don't want a red flag they come in abundance.

There were no cancelled races yesterday.

The DMN (race 17) was swapped round with one of the monoposto races (race 18), this was mainly due to the mini in the DMN race having cost a lot of the time, but also because the idea was to give everyone at least one race.

The DMN did get out, fortunately, although this was due to the second red flag caused by the monos...the BRSCC seemed to be operating the 2 strikes and your out rule (plus there was less than 2 minutes left on the clock at the time of the second red).

I to ohave issue with the way the meeting was run, the last race started approx 35 minutes late, which means at least another 15 minutes was lost somewhere along the line and it wasn't like there were any big incidents to recover. Also I wasn't impressed with them allowing a car to do two laps behing the jag so he could race when time was VERY short. You waste some time to allow one guy to race, which could have mean that 40 others didn't get their race and would have been demanding a lot of money back. Well done BRSCC.

I believe that the car was behind Sid whilst the clearing up of the previous race was being done.. so no time was actually lost there.

They pulled new and interesting tricks on Saturday, to the point of being downright dangerous, to keep ahead of schedule.

Having no green flag lap isn't unusual, but you should have been consulted on that before the meeting, should have been informed before the race and shouldn't have had one type of start for one race and a different one for another.

Steve Gibson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Regulation J.13.11 page 270 MSA Year Book states that
Any category that allows slick tyres will have a formation lap.

I think having the breaks was a bit weird. I know we don't normally get them but would half hour break at Church Bells be ample?

Was very pushed, especially when we had some Alfa induced gravel that we needed the sweeper for.

Thank you BRSCC and CSCC for two great days at Silverstone and is was dry! Also thank you Chezza for the chat about the DMN races on Saturday I had a good idea of what to look out for during the races on Sunday.

So Jon it was your fault, I was wondering why we had all the red flags and also why they were so close together (but if you did get any good pictures let me know!).

There were only about 2 mins left on the clock, but didnt the clock start at 4 mins after the first red flag. A bit unfair on the monos, they should have let the monos run for a bit longer and canned the final race instead of trying to fit to much in. In the end the monos had just over 1 mins worth of racing, and the dunlop saloons had just over 7 mins

Its not the DMN's fault that the Mono's threw it at the scenary...twice, but I'm not going to get into that arguement.

There was a very adventurous timetable, maybe we should have started earlier, but theres not a lot that can be done now. I know DMN have learnt some lessons, I just hope others have too.

Any of us doing something at Becketts would be great. You should have some, you were the catalyst for most

I have some of us in the "down time" taken with my little snappy camera. Of course they are not as exciting or dramatic as Jon's though.

I can either try and post them here or I can send them to you direct (or anybody else who wants a copy). Just drop me a private message with your email addresses. (BTW Robin I have dropped you a line regards the other pics we discussed on Sun)

Both Martin and I had a great two days - learnt loads yet again (like don't eat dodgy food for lunch )

Sorry Everybody

Er..... Sorry everybody for delaying the last F3 practise/qualifying on Saturday a few mins.

Yes it was me who was ill - eaten something dodgy for lunch I think + hot day and probably not enough water (take heed everyone) so apologies if you were late home.

Thanks to everyone who was concerned abotu me (which seemed to be everyone!!) and I have to say if you are gonna be ill then Silverstone is the place to do it. The care was absolutely brilliant from the ambulance crew who picked me up to the nurse and doctor at the med centre - massive thank you to all.

On holiday for the LMES so that's a no. Maybe there for the WHT but will see what's occurring elsewhere. May have to be at Brands instead. Will say hello if I do come up!
