It'll be The Grunties, not sure who's in yet as we give priority to those who have supported the series most during the season.

Is that the Sports Racing & GT Challenge? Should provide an interesting mix of machinery, whoever is in it! A couple of the Cobras would help in the scratch classification...

I'll definitely be there, one of the few unmissable meetings that are the first to go down on the volunteering forms.

Yep, there should be at least one Dtype replica and a couple of Crossles, not sure about the Cobras though as they've been a bit patchy this year.

Hi,

Yes, enjoying it so far.

The team will be Rob Payne, John Willcocks, Andrew Busby and I. Only a bit of fun for us, we're all sprint merchants so have no fuel capacity for this sort of thing.

Surely Ham and Eggs must be entered? They're there every year! Also the RAFMSA usually have a team.

The table below shows the teams in order of their AVERAGE times, as appearing in the entry list. It's worth bearing in mind that many of the individual drivers don't have published times, so this is only a rough guide. However, it does give a pointer as to who to watch out for in the scratch classification:

Timelord - interesting table. What it can't take into account is sandbagging , reliability and a certain amount of luck that's needed to get through the race with so many varied cars on such a small bit of black stuff!

Not that any of the above applies to the team that I'm in you understand!

Very true! I think many of the times must have been submitted before some of the drivers raced on the National circuit this year. For instance, Matt Foley of Team VTR has an estimate time of 1:16.00, but achieved a 1:14.69 during the Stock Hatch series' visit in August. Also, Paul Coulam (Stock Hatch Heroes) has an estimate time of 1:19.00, whereas he posted a 1:15.71 at the same meeting.

I'm sure these aren't isolated cases, so the table should be used 'for guideline purposes only'!

P.S. Are you the Dave in Sports Six Pack?

I notice that the times submitted by the Hart Attacks are taken from their first race (BARC Clubmans Cup) on the National circuit at the Sep 29th meeting. In actual fact three of the drivers bettered their times in the second race:

DriverPublished timeSep 29thRace 2F.Lap
Daniel Gibson1:02.3711:02.248
Paul Gibson1:03.3591:02.898
Reece Wood1:04.6741:03.326

This is purely an observation, of course!

Seems we'll have to get up pretty early to pull the wool over your eyes Mr Timelord, Sir! Now my understanding is that time is relative so a lap time must be related to certain external influences know what I mean I'm sure you'll be needing some refreshment over the course of the race - where shall we deliver it??
