Woah the Syntium RCF really came out of nowhere. Nice to see them get a win finally.

Well, that chaos within GT300 is the most exciting part at Autopolis.
Congrats to LM Corse for winning the race, as well as Lexus Team SARD! |

Team Studie Bob Suzuki says they might return to SGT racing in 2021 on his blog.
"We will return (to SGT) in 2021 probably. Next year? It's uncertain. That's because our main business is not racing. So a calm judgment is necessary for us." https://lineblog.me/studiebob/archives/9387585.html |

Pit stop ban during SC period didn't completely solve the crowded pit stop problems. Pit crews are just be responsive once there is a stranded car on the circuit & pitting the car (if they're lucky enough) before SC period.

I think there is a solution to the crowded pit problem somewhere. The problem is the pitcrews will always be looking to take advantage of any situation

A company representative was arrested on suspicion of defrauding 6 million yen by lying that he could join the GT300 by Lamborghini team if he paid 20 million yen.

So the NSX is now front-engined. A shame to lose diversity, but at least they may get more competitive.
Not sure I like the front of the new Supra either. |

There are BS, MI and DL tire service transporters in Suzuka.
https://twitter.com/51loveliver/stat...18121133617153 However, Honda does not seem to participate in the 2020 vehicle shakedown test. So why is there a DL transporter? Perhaps Toyota or Nissan may use DL tires next season? |

@Japanese Samurai
Ok i understand , this test its only for 2020 GT500 car. Imo , I think one of the Nissan team might switch to Dunlop Tires , possible for (#3) Craftsports GT-R , cause Nissan wanna to widen the tyre strategy like Honda did in 2017 plus the poor results for Nissan with no win in this season. |

Good find. Yes, it's correct.
He had participated in Blancpain GT by Hello Kitty livery. Twitter rumor Saitama Toyopet Green Brave is developing JAF-GT (MC?) Supra for next season. |

Would it be better if Saitama Toyopet team develop a GT86 MC car instead of a Supra?
Unless Toyota allowed the Supra to be used as a basis for the Mother Chassis car, I think it would be logical for them to use the GT86. |

After all, only MI and BS were used in the shakedown test.

I don't know how you all feel about the new Supra GT500 but imo, it's the worst looking Toyota GT500 class car so far. The front looks squished and the roof looks like a helmet! I think it even makes the first generation SC430 GT500 look good.

I think it's alright looking. Of course it does look different. We'll see if it is effective. The best car is not always the best looking one

Once the Supra proves it's the best one among GT-R & NSX-GT, naturally we can cancel out that perception of Supra's odd looks.

It's probably going to be nearly identical in terms of tub or chassis since that's a shared component. So I guess the difference is the shape and how the aero works compared to the LC500. I wish they'd move away from these DTM copies but that's something I can't change. Just hope for a better next-gen ruleset!

That’s good. Nice to know that it’s based on the good things of it’s predecessor. It’s good the DTM is attracting more makes. It can only be a good thing

Tsutomu Tojo (Team Tom's engineer) blogged his thoughts on the shake-down testing of 2020 vehicles.
https://ameblo.jp/tsutomutojo/entry-12525905591.html -The reason why the test was delayed was that (1) the delivery of common parts was delayed by 1 month, and (2) the ECU and the electronic control system were drastically changed by new regulations. -He thinks that the parts used in Japan should be manufactured in Japan. -On the 2nd day of the test, aerodynamic tests and tire tests were conducted. -New car development tests are scheduled to take place every month. |

It's good to see them getting ready for 2020. Of course there are circumstances beyond their control which delays things. But it's good to see them getting on with it. Very professional the teams in this series
