I recall it stopped too. Probably over filled and while you might expect that to go away after a few laps it lasted for the first stint or two. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Regarding the oil it have appeared later on in the race, I think it affected the #7 when DeVries was in the car in the morning

Laurens will know all about dropping oil in front of your rivals, given what happened at the end of Spa 24 2020 (that was four years ago? Now I feel old...). We'll see if it is still the case for the rest of the season.
On the driver conduct side, Dries had some measured but choice words for Kubica! |

I was really enjoying Kubica’s drive up until that point. Still not seen it on the big screen, but I’m not hopeful it makes it look any better. Last edited by Adam43; 20 Jun 2024 at 06:28. |

You can't take advantage of it in WEC thanks to the torque sensors. WEC doesn't care if you are burning oil, fuel, or electric so long as you don't exceed the power limit. It's a foolproof concept.

And any advantage you could conceive only works if the oil is burnt, not if it is deposited on a Cadillac windscreen.

How did the drivers compare at Le Mans?
Well it is hard to read too much into a race with changeable conditions, but here's the data. Average Lap time (order Top 20) Average Lap time
YE, the Gold (!) didn't get many laps. Was there a reason for that? I don't recall. Charts show the spread. Two scales are provided to give a little flavour of the dry periods and wet periods. Even the bigger scale chart is truncated before the SC periods. |

6 track day versions of the 499P already delivered! Nice little earner, no doubt.

Ferrari has used an evo joker for modified brake ducts starting at this weekend's race in Brazil. I can't spot any pictures of the changes yet.

ACO/FIA may be reopening an inquiry into Ferrari's Spa protest.

And the FIA wonders why no one can ever take them serious for more than a week. Good bye WEC, politics will kill it faster than then loss of tobacco money hurt racing in the 90s

If they are re-opening it there means there must be a case for Ferrari to still appeal.
I think ACO did the right decision to allow the race to resume, however if by the current regulations that was not possible then that is on them. I hope nothing changes and it would be best for Ferrari to drop the appeal/protest. Is not a good look |

I would guess this is hopefully settled away from the spotlight, but if a court etc is involved that might be tough, Ferrari have a precedent for doing stuff like this over many decades.
I do see their point in a very small way, but overall the right decision was made and if they cannot see that due to their own utterly selfish reasons it makes me even more likely to cheer when they don't win, I don't like big companies coming in throwing their weight around in a series they have been in for 5 minutes, WEC can easily survive without them, yes they are a draw, but the fans won that day not a Ferrari and someone with less of an ego and an overall sense of doing something for the people that pay good money would appreciate that regardless of the result. Understand the reason why they are doing what they are doing but at the end of the day they just look like sore losers even more the more they keep moaning about it. If you cant win anywhere but LM why would you moan so much!! |

Picking up on something from the DSC post race article:
https://www.dailysportscar.com/2024/...r-le-mans.html Ye & Shwartzman are the real deal They had a good race. How there lap times compare to every other driver in the race is here: https://www.tentenths.com/forum/show...27#post4225627 Specifically here is how their spread compares to the other Ferrari drivers. Shwartzman especially. He really kept the hammer down when being chased by Kobayashi. |
