That's certainly my assumption, given that the #5 is apparently largely funded by Ginetta. I haven't seen his name linked to getting a seat at Le Mans until this.

I pray for a good showing. Because with it may come REAL customers with actual money to purchase/lease the car(s). That's what this car needs. It needs to show it's pace and competitiveness so anyone on the fence says "time to pull the trigger".

It might be too late already considering the performance shown by Rebellion-Oreca (and BR-Dallara's 'issues') at Spa.
I know what I would be targeting if I were a team owner with P1 ambitions (and am pretty sure David Cheng feels the same about it). |

Yeah, they could be on a hiding to nothing compared to the other privateers. I think they might be in for a shock

They have the test day to show up and test, if they don't I see it very difficult for Le mans.

What's the current rules on the test day? Do they need to attend or set a certain time (assuming they have drivers who are suitably pre-qualified/experienced enough not to need to set lap times).

I hope so. The Ginettas have a pretty unique look in my opinion and that Mechachrome engine is very interesting. Would be a big big shame not to see those in action at Le Mans.
