Poor Mike, its really not a nice situation he's been put in and I can see why he's taken the year out. I was amazed that he was going to stay with the team and do Clio's to be honest.

I should point out that I still absolutely love BTC's livery. Subtle, classy, clean and original. If you've got a nice design then the less stickers the better and, to me at least, the cars look absolutely great.

Well I just hope he finds a seat somewhere, even if it's only a one off race to keep him fresh, but obviously he has more important things on his mind, so it seems like it's best he sat out for a while

I see that in the epitome of journalism that is the Daily Mail, BTCC gets an article via Nic Hamilton.

Not surprising, given the publication, that they include Lewis and Nic's beautiful girlfriend in the headline (she's not named until later).
But I guess it's a good thing for the series profile to make the national press. Must be better than Tom Chilton being referred to as a 'Rally Driver' on national tv?

It’s good they are attracting names like him and Blundell and the good thing is there are still enough established names to keep the depth in quality up

It's going to take more than building a cafe.

Is the paddock big enough to accommodate all the teams, plus the TOCA/Dunlop/RML support trucks, plus the hospitality units, plus all the support race teams with their support trucks and hospitality?

Is there enough spectator banking to accommodate a typical (30,000?) BTCC crowd? Is there enough parking for the spectators?

Is there enough accommodation in the local area for all the teams / guest / spectators?

What is access like to the circuit? There's only one road on and off the isle of Anglesey; I suspect if that many people tried to arrive / leave at the same time it would gridlock a large portion of North Wales.

Interestingly enough I heard recently that the Lake Torrent site had been put up for sale by the receivers...

Looks like it’s joining the Circuit of Wales club then. But a BTCC race at Anglesey would be good. Be nice to have it in Wales, like it was with Pembrey in 92-93
