Yes it was.
Originally a hillclimb car with FVC.
Currently for sale in F3 trim (restricted T/C and Mk9) with black chassis, F2 wings and older wobblies. In very bad condition and in need of full restoration.

Not immediately to hand. Have you bought this car? If so, where is it and what condition is it in? May be able to help

Sorry to be inquisitive, and seemingly less than helpful, but where is the car offered for sale?

This chassis would have been delivered late May; I don't know who it was sold to, and there are four possibilities.
One of them is a car that ran British Atlantic and then hillclimbs with a t/c
Two would be t/c engined cars in US/Canada
One would be an F3 with a BMW engine

BT 35 -9 Nick Craw car

Hello Bob,

I have the Nick Craw BT 35-9 . It is fully restored and I live in Louisville, KY,USA. Nick bought it new and raced many pro races in 1971, sold to Bob Shutt for 72 season, sold to US Trans Am champ/comentator Dorsey Schroeder in 1973 and he had it until 1976 in St Louis ,MO, then to an unknown individual, then to Mike Mann in St Louis, then to another unknown, then to Greg Scharnburg of Iowa believed to be in 79/80, then to me aroung 8 years ago.
I actually showed the car two days ago to Greg Scharnburg and we are going to try to fill in the missing two owners from 77 to 80.
I have some of the original bodywork in orange gelcoat, the logbook from new to 1976-after 1976 the car was autocrossed and not road raced so no more logbook entries, letters from Nick Craw and Dorsey showing authenticity with race results and pictures!!!!
I do not remember the AM # , but I can look and post later.

Mike:

My thanks for sharing your excellent history on the Craw car. Would you please send a private message with a photo of your car for my collection or post a photo to the group list?

I would be most interested in colour matching the Opert orange for the future painting of my body work. Have you matched it with a paint mfgr?

I am sorry to be late correcting this, but I finally found a stack of photos that I took when I owned this car. I made a mistake and typed BT35C-17 and I actually meant to type BT38C-17. This was a BDA powered car with the side radiators of course.

What date did you have the car? I last have this with Tom Smith of Redwood City CA in September 1977, at which point it still had a Hart t/c in it.
It was originally an F3 car in 1972, that of Randy Lewis

Seems like this is the connection......and as Allen knows, I did own a number of cars over the years.

I am confused as to why my acquaintence, Ted Walker, would make my last name into "Noose"

I owned the car back in the early 90's. I have photos somewhere. It was configured as a Formula B car when I owned it and yes, it had a Hart engine.

Rejuvenated -10

Gents,

After a fairly long while, the resurrected and close to correct BT-35-10 is basically ready for, hopefully, a good vintage race or two....Thanks to Andrew for the nose sticker. I now have replaced the Chevron/March wing with a correct -35 wing, reengineered the struts, painted it, new fuel system, and on and on..... I'm basically ready to run after a year.

I've uploaded a pic for reference.

BT35 Fuel Tanks (steel)

I had two sets of replacement steel fuel tanks made up for my car. I need but one and can offer the other set (left and right) to someone else in need. They are uncut galvanized steel so you get to decide your openings. Yellow chromate coated but unfinished in any other way. Please make offer. Offered as a set only.

My thanks,

Could you tell me how to get in touch with Jan Persson and/or Lars Svensson as I am trying to locate BT35-20 as I own and race BT35-26 and would like to re-unite the two Torsten Palm Mennen cars. Thanks

JOLLY-CLUB TEAM COLOURS 1971

Does anyone have a decent colour photo of any of the Jolly Club BT35's. I want to repaint mine back to its original scheme, but I only have B&W photos.

I'm guessing they were white with some sort of stripe(s) down the front in green and red???

Thanks.

Dear All,

I'm actually beginning the complete restoration of a BT35-33 (as per tag, but reading the thread looks like there is another one...). The car is in really poor state, have a Ford Pinto fitted on it, plus some modification the chassis that I'm sure is not in the original scheme. Need complee bodywork and wheels, and I have very little decent pictures for coming back at the original life. Hope that I can have some help from you.

Thanks to all

@pantah: I'd try to contact Carlo Giorgio, he may have some picture you need. I'll let you know asap.

Welcome to this forum ombaracing.

For wheels, you can contact Mike Barnby who makes split rims with Brabham style magnesium centre.
For bodywork, contact Simon Hadfield who has body moulds.

What is the history of your car ? An Italian car ?
Is there an Arch Motors number on the frame ?
Can you post some photos.
