The loss of Penske and then the illness and retirement of Dr Ryan Story was the death of big success at DJR. |

And given that Ford badges are going to be all over the Red Bull F1 car from 2026 they will have no more need Supercars to promote a performance image than Mercedes needed the Bettymobile.

Aero Testing, Transient Dyno Confirmed
Plus new headcount to be sourced to run those programs.. Perhaps this should be one an annual event.. Wonder if they intend hitting a shaker rig whilst there? |

Ford aero changes confirmed for the Gold Coast.
I guess this will be the last change for the season and then into wind tunnels and transient dyno testing. I assume that both OEMs are sticking with the same panels / grills etc. for 2024? |

Ford called for transient dyno & torque sensors to be the only way to truly measure engine differences & that is what Supercars is doing. No point taking (yet another) guess at needed changes if the comparative measurements haven’t been taken the way that Ford asked for. I expect that both cars will run as they are till the end of the year & transient dyno & tunnel work will be the methods used to determine any differences & what changes are needed (if any). |
