It has been moved as Green-Savoree Racing Promotions NEEDS fans to make it work. No fans, they would have cancelled the event plain and simple. Postponing gives them a better shot at more fans in the seats.
Barber opens the season now on March 11, with St Pete April 25, still on NBC main network. |

St Pete has always worked well as a season opener. Hope Barber can make a great start to the season

Wish I liked Dixie more, this is a nice print and makes the aeroscreen look decent. Nothing against him and don't wish car failure on him like Will Power but generally no happy feelings when he wins.

So much for me thinking Marco Andretti would continue with Andretti Herta Autosport with Marco & Curb-Agajani. IMO If it wasn't for the Andretti name. he would have gone long ago. Pole at Indy last year was his first tangible result, since winning at Iowa in 2011. It will be interesting to see who gets the drive in the #98 car for the rest of the season.

I remember seeing marco and Graham rahal in star mazda at road atlanta as a support series for petit le mans. Rahal started first, or at least top 3, and won. But marco started dead last, (33 cars) and was putting on a show. Always taking slightly different lines than the others, and ran all the way up to about 7th in a 45 minute all green flag race. I was sold then.
I'm guessing the "hunger" or "need" to make it is what ultimately let him down. Or maybe he just always had top level cars for the series and they flattered him more than his driving. But it is a disappointing career for what he looked like he was headed for. So.... according to paul tracy, time to sign him up for uber? |
