For V8supercar insert Ford Performance

What is a definition of insanity?
Doing the same thing over and over and over again and hoping for a different result.

Let’s make our struggling teams throw more money at changing bodywork and wings and nose cones and what have you.. and then tell everyone that it’s still not enough…

Ford need 888 to jump ship like yesterday and leave the politicking to them.

But it's not hard to see that the mustang is down on straight line performance, it was there for everyone to see at Bathurst, just give them what they are asking for and if they are too fast then slow them down with smaller air restrictors and/or longer shift cuts until they are as close as possible to even.

Any chance Ford Performance could homologate and supply a single consistent dashboard for all the Gen3 Mustangs.
It must be a priority, what being a year since the new evolution made its debut

You can’t rush these things I suppose..

You said the Mustang got slowed down in 2019.

The thing that slowed it down in 2021 was Penske leaving.

Incase you hadn't noticed, they are not involved with the new Mustang.

No, the holden teams stopped sandbagging and worked harder.

Goes to highlight how the notion of these Ford teams and drivers -- with the addition of WAU who are also a top team -- now suddenly being incompetent is ridiculous.

So you missed the part where no teams like Tickford & DJR have the ability to engineer bits no other team has now?

The laptimes are closer than they have ever been.

I didn't see very much of Tickford or DJR beating 888 last year, nor WAU for that matter.

I remember all of them complaining about not being able to match 888's tyre wear, WAU in the same car, while DJR and Tickford were in the used to thump the field in 2019 and 2020.

The other thing, have you ever noticed when someone crashes a Mustang out of any race, it's always Will Davo?

The car was a lot better. Still need some more power down. The "P" is getting closer now.
See how much better the racing is with parity?

To think that Chevrolet vetoed parity for the Bathurst 1000km defies belief. Very poor form from Chevrolet Racing.

No one would of let a brand put untested parts on a car before the biggest race of the year. Get a grip m8, just stop it.

Agree, very exciting race today, shame about Bathurst as it could have been a nail biter as well.

DJR's Perry Kapper implies the original choice of Mustang aerodynamic components at the start of the season were not his (or DJR's/Ford Performance's).

https://www.speedcafe.com/podcasts/

Whether the choice of Mustang aero parts was D2H Group's (despite the CFD showing the cars were different in yaw with the Mustang at a disadvantage) or Supercars', and then not releasing the data (i.e., D2H's comparison of Camaro and Mustang CFD) to DJR & Ford Performance until August so DJR & Ford Performance could come up with a package to correct it -- that is incredibly poor handling of the paritisation by Supercars.

Not really what he said at all. What he did say was that Ford & its homologation team turned up with 6 or 7 different aero package configurations and out of the testing / comparison process, one was chosen. He didn't say that someone else (such as Supercars) made that choice and for sure it would have been a process of trying to match the two makes out of the testing done.

After the results this weekend, do you think the four parity changes may have been a step to far? Maybe the front splitter change and the wing position change, with out the bigger wing. plus the side skirts? lets see who replies first.

The mustangs were lucky to win both races, one more lap and Giz probably wins on saturday and Brodie made a mistake that handed Reynolds the win on sunday.
