Welcome Francis.
BT35-21: reported by Autosprint in 1972 as the car of Pier-Girogio Provolo. I understand this chassis number was also said to be in the USA. Have you got an AM number ? In what configuration is the car now ? Have you got any photos ? phdm |

Hello, what number am inendi? Where is it?
The car is disassembled completamnte 100% for many years! My father bought it without the engine and transmission ... So I do not know if it is a F2 or F3! I found the identification taghetta ... BT 35. 21 .. Before starting with the restoration (which if I have a F3 engine and transmission 1600 Ford novamotor MK9 and all that) I wanted to make sure of its history! The body is green English .. |

AM number stands for Arch Motor number who used to make (most of) the Brabham chassis.
The number is usually stamped on the rear left hand side of the frame near the damper pick up point. |

Tura,
To make clear , the AM number should be on the rear face of the shockabsorber pick up point at the left rear . And should be something like AM 71/ ? Bryan Miller. |

Tura,
The best thing you can do is trace the owners back from the purchase by your father , did you receive any documents or papers with the car . If you can post a photo of the car now we may be able to help. What size are the wheels 8.0'' and 10.0'' x 13.0'' ??? Bryan. |

So, I have a question about frame number on a BT-35. Frame numbers generally start with the AM number right? I found that on my frame I have a "D1" stamp where the AM number should be. I had never seen it, because it is right by the frame bolt. My car has a -10 MRD plate. Any help here?
Thanks, Kent |

Could it be DL? I have seen initaisl following an AM number so might you be seeing just the end of the number?
Let me know the whole number and I'll see if I can suggest something. Email allen@oldracingcars.com if you'd rather not give out the number here. |

If anyone is interested I have a very good Black and White photo of Mike in the Brabham at Shelsley, and would be very happy to share. It was Red and always immaculate .... he had one of the first Range Rovers in that nasty mustard colour matched to a Don Parker trailer in the same colour. The BT 35 spent many hours in the garage in Darwin Street, B'ham until it all went very wrong, Grand Met. took over and closed us down. For me, very happy memories and would go back now this minute! |

Thanks for this. I last heard of the car in Belgium, where I saw it in 2009/10. I think it has a twin cam in it at the moment. Chris |

To the Forum,
I am posting here to inform you of the passing of forum member Kent Copeland (kentr1) and owner of BT35 #10. He left us last July after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. I helped Kent sort out and race the Brabham since late 2006. I have been asked by his wife Holly to sell the Brabham and I have it listed on Hemmings.com. If you know of anyone that might interested in this sorted vintage race car please respond to the ad in Hemings .com or contact me directly at tupp@verizon.net. The car is located in Houston Texas USA. Todd Upp |
