Great news! More short ovals is always a good thing.

Well who had Romain to Andretti on the 2022 bingo card? MP reporting he will replace RHR in the 28 car, AA did not confirm the move yet

Thought he was more likely to replace Hinch? Wonder if the team will just run 3 cars next year?

I heard from somewhere that Devlin DeFrancesco is rumoured to be replacing Hinch in the 29.

He is within the AA sphere in Indy Lights but he's running a less than impressive 5th with 2 podium on 14 races. I think Kyle Kirkwood is more likely to fill that seat especially if he can win the money.

Wow, once it starts the info starts coming fast and hot.
Askew in the HyVee 45 for Portland, Laguna and Long Beach to evaluate 2022 drivers https://racer.com/2021/09/01/askew-t...ason-with-rll/ Another F1 (ok adjacent but you get it) kid comes over to drive, Juncos-Hollinger has signed Illot to run at Portland https://racer.com/2021/09/01/ilott-t...r-at-portland/ |

Good to see both of those drivers in the mix. Great for Carlin to have such a talented driver for their return, even though he has no experience with the car. Others have shown well in their first Indycar drives though.

Add one more, Foyt adds Kimball and Novo Nordisk to the #11 fold for Long Beach.

Who are “Juncos” exactly? Has the team run an Indycar on a road course previously?Hollinger seems to be a Williams F1 investor?

Marshall Pruett of Racer offers up a projected IndyCar schedule for 2021 with 18 races. Note in particular the Texas Motor Speedway date, which would be the day after the 12 Hours of Sebring. That's a stupid idea, but NBC has a time slot available so…
1: February 27 or March 6: St. Petersburg GP 2: March 20: Texas Motor Speedway 3: April 10: Long Beach GP 4: May 1, Barber Motorsports Park 5: May 14, Indianapolis GP 6: May 29, Indianapolis 500 7-8: June 5-6, Detroit GP Doubleheader 9: June 12, Road America 10: July 3, Mid-Ohio 11: July 17, Toronto GP 12-13: July 23-24, Iowa Doubleheader 14: July 30, Indianapolis GP 2 (Saturday event) 15: August 7, Nashville GP 16: August 20: World Wide Technologies Raceway (Saturday event) 17: September 4, Portland International Raceway 18: September 11, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca |

And Eddie was fighting moving it forward but I think he has been moved on from Texas event management. He loved the pre-Indy warmup excitement idea, think it may have been over done but he ran the event well. The track itself, maybe not so much.
But with Ganassi set to be active at Sebring (twice as much so 2023), MSR, Andretti angling for a program, and Indy drivers are the 3rds on other teams that's gonna limit the shared resources |

I like the earlier start to the season. Would like to see the early season races no more than 2 weeks apart but don't know what all would be involved to make that happen. |
