How bad would the entry have been for a standalone enduro?
Remember it was the teams that got the GT races like this one put back on the Supercar support card Why would the GT3 fans rock up at 730am to see a race that will be finished by 11am, but have to pay full "Supercars" spectator fee's for the whole day? |

only twice the price of the cheapest NRL game ticket (or the same price if you take your two kids), but more bang for your buck, free pit entry as well Laughing that people are not prepared to pay to watch half million Gt3 cars race. Rich mans sport. Last edited by peckstar; 15 Aug 2017 at 09:10. |

A 17 car field is a relatively good number if you have followed national level GT and Sports Car racing over the year.
I remember the 1994 Australian Super Production Car Series which barely reached double figures. Ten years earlier grids were just as sparse. |

2017 Australian GT Championship
Is it a stretch of the imagination to think that GT fans actually enjoy Supercars too and might happily stick around for the rest of Saturday to watch everything else?
Weird concept no? I'm glad I did last year because that Saturday afternoon race was a cracker. Sunday was quite boring in comparison. |

Does SMP have a curfew?
Running this race late Saturday instead of early Sunday would be pretty neat. |

I am also not sure the justification of stand alone rounds for AGT was built on spectator numbers and corporate dollars? Correct me if I am wrong? I was of the understanding that track time, race scheduling and pit access were the motivators. All of those 3 things which are constraining AGT and its teams this weekend. |

Oh and Dominik Baumann is partnering Mark Griffith in the Hogs Breath Mercedes this weekend. Nice to have one of the reigning Blancpain Series champions down here. |

GT3 lap record is Jack Le Brocq with a 1.27.9783 (Mercedes Benz SLS GT3 14/07/2013). Wonder if that is in danger? |

The race will be live on Fox from 7.30 am.
2nd last chance to watch on TV this year, and the only enduro event live on TV |

Hampton Downs was streamed live last year online. Who could forget Scudd and Dave Russell storming home to take the win. That was fantastic to watch. Keep up at the back Teflon |

You might have thought the 2 pros in the KFC Audi would have done a better job than has been shown. The wind has been terrible, which would definitely impact an aero-driven car.

far from ideal start. taylor has the AMG hard into wall at the start of lap two. then a 10 lap safety car, so looking more like time certain.
Scudd started in the pits and still remains there |
