And it's over. Caddy in control from the start until the end and GTD won by the additional Lexus

I’m wondering if I should revisit my the Caddy is the most driveable of the current cars theory.

Deserving winners at Long Beach today. I don't think 01 Caddy and 89 Lexus ever were in danger of losing their leads. GTD was a great race from 2nd on back!

Caddy looking strong with a 1-2, Penske Porsche brings it home 3 - 4.

It did look like the #89 was a GTD Pro car running amongst the rest of the field being GTD Am cars. I know that was not the case. Still had that look and feel. Maybe it was the red dots they painted on the front!

Disappointing race for Acuras and BMWs tho. Good race in general, it was entertaining 100 minutes

And now to the main event..GT America...lol. But hey at least they got Audis on the grid. For fans who watch both races in person. They get all 12 active GT3 manufacturers to enjoy at some point.

It is a curious one that the Lexus is so good in IMSA but not anywhere else.

Not a great race sadly, fairly processional, Caddy clearly on top and a few odd yellows that messed things about as they were getting interesting.

Didn't realise they did the whole race on one set. So same as last year, double stinting was the key to victory |

Good Lord, was Indy in charge of penalties on that last incident? Ridiculous they hit that Lambo who got hit twice by De Phillipi and Jaminet caused the whole thing anyway. But guess Long Beach means oh well, it's the hairpin.
At least De Phillipi got his just desserts later trying to destroy all the extra fronts. And the team didn't check it enough cause something was definitely broken. But proved why LB is only worth watching recorded to skip commercials and track facts nonsense, plus the cleanups |
