This is the earliest sound I've ever heard recorded from Le Mans. Some nice footage of the 1933 start, and no one talking over it!

Ehr, according to the techregs, the GT-R in this case is a racecar too, baring slicks, a full mandatory rollcage and all the needed addenda.
Just a fight between two different racecars.

The GT-R was racing in the SP8T class, Porsche cups were in the SP7 class. What are you getting at? Not to mention that pretty much all the SP7 and SP8 cars kicked the GT-R's ass.

and you forgot to mention that the engine, transmission, suspension were stock. for a car to be untouched in these areas and keep up with a GT3 cup car is quite a feat don't you think? not too mention it was the class winner.

It was the class winner because it was the only car in its class, SP8T. What you forgot to mention is that it has nearly 100 more horsepower than the Cup and that the Club Track edition was used. And the Club Track edition? It happens to be a racing circuit use-only car. http://www.supercars.net/cars/5099.html

What I mean was that those porsches were full-trimmed race cars, as in brakes, power train, electical systems, Engine, Suspension, bodywork, tyres etc. that Nissan would have had next to no chance competing against that with the minor upgrades they had installed. again Bring on the new and improved Nissan GT3 this year, here's a little taste of last years model. (admittedly he is a more accomplished driver) but to keep it on topic.

How good is it seeing #01R running around again!

Saw this on another site and watched it howling around with a big grin on my face. Great to see, wish I could be there to see it in the flesh, moments like this dont come around very often, especially for #01R, which is pretty much priceless and doesnt come out very often especially to hit the track of all things.

When it was running for the McLaren F1 launch this year it was the first time it had run since it was on display at Goodwood after winning Le Mans. I believe this is the first public showing since then....

And yes, every time I see that I get a huge grin
