Arrived at the Houx site around 1800. We broke down on the M25 (London orbital motorway) this morning had to wait for the RAC to dismantle the EGR gubbins on our Peugeot. Pitched camp quickly thanks to pop-up tents and EZ-Up gazebo. Need to get a longer power cable tomorrow as we seem to be further from the power point than previously. Got the Lidl Weissbier on the go now.

Working there this year, can't wait and will be a new experience. Leave Thurs AM and back v late Sun / early Mon AM. Not been since 2007 so looking forward to it.

just a quick question for anyone who is down there or been down early before... some of our group went down today and had some issues getting to the site and had to as they put it take a "cross country" route to tetre rouge have they changed access entrance to the campsite or is it just early on... any ideas... or maybe they just got very lost!

Genuinely interested in this - don't want to revisit the chaos of my first stay at Tertre Rouge when I think we spent more time circulating the wider Le Mans area looking for the way in than driving down from Calais.

On the upside, always good to give the off road credentials of a Prius a good workout.

I'm going with a bus for the train 11:55, By train 12:54, and then arrive in Flensburg at 14:04. And leaves Flensburg with our new member KPKorsager's group 16:00. Arriving at Le Mans 06:00 tomorrow

There are times when I don't like being a motorsport fan.

Like this morning when the 50 year old yuppie and his mate, obviously on their way to "the Great!! race" in a Ferari 430 decided to do what you see 18 years olds doing in Corsa or a Skyline with a dump valve.

And that is of course sitting back in traffic in the Hatfield tunnel traffic and then accelerating towards the white van repeatedley! To the collective noise of "Co*k"from all and sundry, I do hope he heard us all.

I was amused to sail past later on as he queued to get on the M25 in my Fabia with the ring sticker on the back!

Sadly, I know there would be thousands of people like this there thins weekend, and at Goodwood, and F1, and various other places!

Good luck to all of you and you yearly trek to the GREAT race Hope you enjoy the Co**ks as much as I do!!
