That dogleg on the backside of that first one Pirenzo was the only thing I'd think about changing. Your second, I'm not sure. Just looking at it, I'm having a bit of trouble visually isolating the various configuations.

Probably the single biggest factor that can make almost any road course a good one is leevation change, which I know is kind of hard with just the diagrams. Of course, the lasck of elevation change can make a lot road course pretty pathetic.
So, it looks alright, but did you have any particular idea of how you thought it ought ot undulate Alonsomania? |

I ask because at first glance I got the feeling it would need some sort of elevation changes to make it a really interesting course to drive.
Lately I've been having a problem with the tracks I draw up. I don't know, but they seem a little "manufactured." What I mean is that it felt like I was thinking them out too much, instead of just letting an idea flw straight onto the page. Do any of you notice that you have that feeling/problem sometimes? |

P, the circuit is really you, it's what you like. However, like I always say, too many turns (I hate too many corners!). So I decided to have a crack at it.
Pit straight is longer, and the first corners are chicanes. The esses part is not different, a lot easier to handle, and access to the medium circuit is now later, and I created a new corner out of it. The hairpin is much earlier. The final corner is more of a chicane. What do you think? |

Your right, by counting them, it doesn't seem like its that much, but I don't know, its just a thing that I don't like. But like I said, good job all up...
I'm working on a challenge (I'm bored ), should be up soon, hopefully you can all join in and make a track out of it... |

MY SECOND CHALLENGE...
Okay then, so here it is, here are the rules etc... Grey are the roads (DUH) Yellow are the houses Blue is water Dark Green is ground Goldish colour is sand This is a very wealthy neighbourhood, with large houses all round. There is a beach there for anyone who wishes to go to them. Most of the land if elevated some 50 metres or so (thus the reason for the winding roads leading down to the beach and house in the south), but it's mostly flat above that. There is a 150 year old church basically in the middle of the proposed land for a track, that cannot be touched. You must design a circuit and if necessary re-route any roads within the perimetre of the maroon line. You must NOT go beyond the maroon line at any costs. If necessary, you may destroy or move roads around, but ONLY within the maroon border. All access to roads outside the maroon border MUST remain where they are now. The track may be a 'Spa-Francorchamps-style' circuit, in other words, some of it is on the roads, and some of it is just a track. Pilane MUST be at least 500 metres long, and it must be straight, not curved. Good luck ... |

Alonsomania, nice. It's got that 'old circuit' feel to it.
P, nice track mate, I like it. Good job. CG, sort of similar to P's, but different non-the-less. Nice use of the existing roads. FW, all I can say is, I love it. You use the existing road like they do at Albert Park. Thats a great attempt ... I'll post my one up this afternoon/evening (Sydney, remember), but I think it'll be hard to top all those tracks ... |

Yeah, I think the "straight" with the two kinks in it might be getting on for about 1500m
