Indeed P, it is a bit old. However, its quite nice for an old circuit.

I've tried to make a few circuits, but they all turn out very ****, believe you me. I'll try again tomorrow.

Well, here's my attempt at my challenge. To be honest, I'm not really that happy with it, but I think its 'alright'.

I think that FW's was the best out of all of them.

Here's my thoughts on Freak's challenge.

I came up with an old school track first, which goes down to beach level and then up again. It uses the entire back section which would have been pretty fast an pretty spectacular to see, I guess.

Then I made the modern track, which has a couple of new corners, a new straight, but still uses much of the original back section.

Tell me what you think.

Here is my attempt... kind of has an old-school feel (simple, fairly flowing layout), but I think it would be safe enough for modern FIA standards...

Here's another challenge to get your teeth into if you've already had a go at Conrad's

This one's a club circuit conversion if you will...
The diag's fairly self explanatory: track, river; river, track

Its used mainly for motorcycles, so it has to have a nice flowing nature to it, no silly hairpins or chicanes

Make good use of the space, the club owners aren't too bothered about pit facilities, they're trying to keep cost down as much as possible, so the new track must retain the current startline, but you should also leave a decent straight and some space for a new pits/paddock in the future.

yeah, maybe. It was originally based more on road atlanta, the first corner is an uphill right hander, and thats how I envisage the first corner there. If you look at a map of Road Atlanta you'll see how its similar, at least in the overall proportions

Lust, I like the circuit which goes all the way to the beach (who cares that you broke the rules), and its a really nice track to be honest. I think it would be a ripper to drive.
The real circuit you made I also like a lot. Nice use of land, good thinking

just a question to everyone, does anyone have a Graphics Tablet/Pad...

their going to sell this one at Aldi this coming Thursday (in Australia of course) (click here for picture and information) and I was thinking a lot about them. After doing some research, I think I'd rather spend a bit more and buy a Wacom one (click here for picture and information)...

If anyone has a graphics pad, could I get your opinion on it, and if possible, which one should I buy???...

I get that a lot, I have to have breaks from drawing up circuits sometimes. As you all may have noticed, I was in my editing phase, where I really couldn't be bothered or really 'up for the challenge' of drawing an entire track. I think I'm over that (I'm working on a short track with a drag strip right now!).

I go throught that phase a lot. I go in and out of it, depending on things that happen in my life around me at any given time. You'll get out of it, and when you do, your tracks will be the best you've drawn in a long time!!!...

FW, what do you think about Aaeon from GeneRally???... He really does make great tracks for the game. Everytime I see his name I know its goin' to be a good track

Here is my edit of your track P.

You didn't specify, and its hard to gather from the track if its clockwise or anti-clockwise, mine is CLOCKWISE...

You said no silly hairpins or chicanes, I don't think that the hairpin on the bottom center-left is too bad? Nor the chicane on the top left. I think they really compliment the track.

I've drawn in where the pitlane could be extended, it can theoretically be twice as long if the owners decide to make it longer.

btw, I think the track looks a bit like the 1975 proposal for Dijon-Prenois...

A bit hungaroring don't you think? (as in too many corners in too small a space) I mean, if you took the width of your line representing the track to be representative of the real width of the track, you wouldn't be too far off how wide it is, so looking at some of your corners already a lot of them look painfully unneccessary... If you sorta loosened them up a bit you'd have what I think you were actually aiming for...
