I think he's actually a commercial business manager, taking care of sponsorship at Knockhill these days.

Can't see it being the Sun because it'd be a very large budget required I guess.

reckon it could be the Sun as they are always doing tie ups with Knockhill and do a fair bit of sponsorship up there.

OT I see that Jillian Shedden (Gordon's wife) is doing Britcar chances of Jillian getting a BTCC drive and racing against Gordon??? Never been done before and that could make them very marketable, ok or hello magazine the posh and becks of motorsport?? Probably not as Jillian is better looking than posh

What are the chances of Shedden running in a 3rd car alongside Neal and Howell? I thought Castrol wanted to run a car for the full season (or did I dream this)?

You could have 3 differently-sponsored cars, couldn't you - with all 3 having Halfords backing too?

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
It would be Howell in a third car alongside Shedden. Neal and Shedden are confirmed - Howell is not.

Well anyway, what are the chances we could see TD launch a 3-car attack at the media day? Anyone know any more?

They are unlikely to have 3 new cars ready in time. From what I understand the second car is only just being finished now.

There's a team who are/were very seriously looking at buying the third of the 05 cars but Dynamics are refusing to release it just yet. Could that be an indication that they need a back-up plan in case the both 06 cars aren't ready in time? It's now so late that the potential buyer is likely to walk away, assuming they haven't done already.

If they are that far behind building the new cars, perhaps they will need Howells old car!

Just think, if this other team does not/did not secure the third 05 car, we could have had another competitor on the grid?
Perhaps he has already gone... To GT's?

I understand TD are definatley starting the season with two cars...

If they still have the other car, it may appear later?

I can definitely understand TD wanting to keep a backup car. They do wanna defend their BTCC title. Selling the 3rd car for profit/prestige could definitely hurt them later on if one or both their cars are damaged and no backup car to take it's place!

It would be a shame if it's true a potential team walked away from the BTCC b/c they couldn't secure a TD car. OTOH, with the revised rules, surely other S2000 cars can be just as competitive. I don't TD would be selling their cars dirt cheap anyways? OTOH, I guess a potential team wants a (potential) championship winning car than an unproven BTCC raced car?

They'd be better to sell the 3rd car asap while it's still worth something!

I reckon they'll bring an Accord out later in the year.

I think Andy Neate's going to return in the Daniels Motorsport Vauxhall Astra Coupe. They had talked about doing LMA Euro Saloons in 2006, but are not on the entry list.

I doubt we'll see him but never say never! Only a week til media day now, can't wait! Looking at the first session of WTCC testing, Rydell was fastest of the SEATs (in 5th) and (next best) Jimmy T was 10th - looks like he's getting to grips quite well with the Leon!

Just read no Speed Equipe in 2006 (apparently in MN) - a real shame after them running a year's preparation.

Haven't seen MN but can't say I'm hugely surprised. ITV have brought Friends Reunited and the HPI money came via Ian Curley, so that left the team with no sponsors. Whatever gains they may have made with the car over the winter it's hard to convince anyone to give you money when you spend the previous season several seconds off the pace.
Still a shame to lose another team though.

Those cars where then picked up by WSR. From what I gather Kartworld also have a couple of the Judd engines, which are the same as WSR run. The car will also have a completely different colour scheme.
