Yeah, The Vectra is really a simple conversion. Ironically he guy selling the model made me a unreal offer for the decals. I am surprised he is selling it..

It's the right colour scheme but unfortunatley this isn't Dave Brodie's car and as far as I can see not a BTCC car. To start with all the pictures of his car have a number 6 on it (or 30 for the TT race), he wasn't sponsored by Ralliart but The Daily Mail. Very poor research by GPL as Kyosho don't list it as a BTCC car either. I would love some one to prove me wrong though!! |

Oh well. Thought I'd bring it to the attention of people anyhow.

Thanks Craner, it looks a nice model, my initial reaction was that it looked like a Brodie Macau entry?

I was wondering why it had the Union Flag on it. Maybe that's why. It's his car, but for Macau, so has different sponsors.

That's what I was thinking yes.
Changing tact a minute, does anyone have a list of all the BTCC replicas Vanguards have released rercently as i'm trying to work out how many other versions of a particular model would be worthwhile them doing of the various Ford's and other models? We definitely need them to do a couple of Rovers, they've got the moulds and all that, so why haven't they done it yet? Sanyo, Hepolite, and ICS versions would surely be in demand? I reckon a Brut/Faberge Capri would be a good addition as well. Other than Spice and Woodman, Stuart Graham's car was probably the most memorable Mk3 of the day? A Minshaw or Morris Golf would be good to complement the Richard Lloyd release and I wonder if they could be tempted into doing a Metro range including the Computervision Turbo? Does anyone have any other models they'd like to see Vanguard's do? |

I did ask them about a Rover and they replied saying that it wasn't on their current list to make. They did say they would consider the SD1 for possible future items, so if we hastle them they may do it!

Personally, I would love ANY manufacturer Vanguards included, to produce some more of those fantastic looking RS500's from the late eighties.
Minichamps keep threatening to bring out the Gravett car from 1990. But there are so many more that could be produced... They have the model. |

It's defo the Macau Brodie car because it has a small BBW decal on the side along with his other small supporters stickers from the time like Bilstein etc. Another one to add to my list of scans and attachments to post when I get round to it! |

Thought I'd update my list as I haven't done it for a while. The first ones are my under £10 cheap conversions from the 1960s

Thanks that's very encouraging to hear. The market would easily stand 43 and 18 scale racing Vitesse's
NEO are quite good quality too although there's never many of their cars on ebay? |

No, interestingly they've chosen that ahead of the 1989 Astra, even though a road version of the GT/E is also forthcoming?

I hope they get the font on the sunstrip replicated properly on the Cavalier, as the real one is incorrect. Little things like that annoy me. |

Good to see another BTCC car will be available - might have to get one of those Cavaliers (and the Astra if they bring that out). Wonder what else they've got lined up?

Well I know it's old ground but we desperately need a Rover and I reckon a Metro and Corolla would be a good idea plus maybe new liveries of the cars already out like Capri, Escort and Golf?

My thoughts exactly. Knowing Corgi, there might well be one or two more BTCC liveries to be had here. Although without sufficient retooling, lets hope they don't try to produce the 95 title winning car, as much i would love a die-cast version. The Astra GTE also lends itself to Clelands 89 car; it seems Corgi are getting the hint about BTCC models at last! |

Funnily enough the Matt Neal Primea I've got is missing its mirrrors too
I don't think spares are exactly common unfortunately - you may have to cannibalise another model. There should be plenty of correct scale models about that you can swipe bits off if you're not too fussed about getting exactly the right mirrors. I picked up a bunch of 1/43 scale Airfix kits cheap off evilbay (missing instructions and decals) - I've used wing mirrors and spoilers out of those on a couple of cars. Not 100% accurate but better than nothing |

Where can I find out more about the Neo Rouse Rover anyone? |

sounds silly, but how exactly do i take a mirror off a 1.43 model??? Is it literally the case of pulling it off and hoping it breaks ??????? - ive never destroyed a model intentially before |
