I think it might be more to do with trying to persuade Roger Penske to spend more money. In that article Mark Miles Mark says he believes IndyCar "suffers" in comparisons to the other two major racing series in the U.S. who operate in a different stratosphere from a budgetary standpoint. He then goes onto say that they have substantial resources. I think all Andretti is saying, is Penske should be putting those resources into the series.

You read all that stuff and well, the same mentality from the irl days still seems to exist of just doing just enough to get by but not really making progress. The car they are racing is long since eligible for historic racing, hilariously so.

In the old CART days the attitude was the world was mine, only the sky was the limit and look at what they achieved in 15 years from 1980 to 1995. It's time for new blood and a new energy with new ideas.

As an addendum, I'll also add, yeah that was nice that Penske rescued the speedway and the series from the worst of the worst, but he's almost 90 years old or something. He cleaned up the Speedway and did some work to improve things, got the series stabilized, but one has to know when to step aside and that is when you've done your part but can do no more.

But for 12 of those years there was millions of sponsor dollars to burn and tobacco money, now not so much. That money was long since sent elsewhere and well you see how that series went so maybe not the best ideas

How many potential entrants are we looking at now for Indy? There are 34 on the test today but am not sure that is all that have been announced.
