Penske ran two different chassis that year. The Panoz G-Force for Gil de Ferran and the Dallara IR-03 for Hélio Castroneves.

And Vautier back in DCR seat after almost 7 years. In the 51 for Detroit instead of Braun. Not sure if Braun was full season in the seat or race by race

Tom has struggled in Indycar, but this is a big surprise.

I didn't know Braun was even still in the picture.

He's a quality driver no doubt about it. The results haven't been there but I am sure he can get it together.

I’d of given him Road America at least, if that track didn’t suit him then no where would and a move back to sportscars would be best for everyone. So the decision for him to miss that doesn’t really make sense to me.

I think they've settled in to him getting paid to wait it out until a coming IMSA announcement. He's under contract with the team for at least through 2025

Yeah, his statement was a joke at best and insulting to anyone with a brain at worst. How a PR team is involved with what they released I will never understand, but that's pretty much killed off real major sponsor appeal any time soon
