Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Colombo will be a supreme driver (until he becomes gold) if he can calm down a bit. There's a good career for him in sportscars if he wants it.

He really does, I can see why the broadcasters interview him during every race.
He races somewhat like an impetuous teen, but he speaks like a seasoned pro. A fast, young, media-savvy Italian driver, just as Ferrari are re-entering the top class again? Good timing |

Crap I forgot this was happening this weekend with everything else going on.
Just read the race recap, and it sounds like there were not a lot of dull moments. Penalties during and after the race! |

It was a really good race I thought. Plenty of action, chaos and some wild swings of fortune.
Will be interesting to see how Colombo gets on at Le Mans in what will only be his fifth sportscar race. We know that drivers in his position have got to make this silver season count in order to make that career leap. I'm also increasingly impressed with Ferdy von Habsburg. He's obviously been able to align himself with some excellent teams, but his general strike rate in a short space of time in sportscars has been very high. |

He certainly comes across like that, despite the silver spoon he has. Just shows why you should try to avoid labelling certain people

no “silver spoon” here, the kid’s just got a gigantic trust fund. he’s been raised really well by very well-rounded people and has a great interest in the world around him. always has taken the time to build relationships with the people he works with and that’s really important in this game. he spends his racing money well, with good teams. he was always very quick on his day even back in formula renault, only difference now is that his days are the norm. genuinely couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke.

He's definitely not let his wealth get to his head. It may have made things easier for him, but he still recognises that you need to show your skill and talent. It depends on what you do with your money too, which some higher up need to learn to, but anyway moving on

The future heir to House Habsburg-Lorraine does seem like a solid bloke. I know the green initiative with Algarve didn't gain much traction (is it still going?), but it shows he's got his mind of things outside of racing.
And, important for him and for us, when his mind is on racing, he's good. He also clearly has good advisors to stick with the ELMS and choose Prema. |

ELMS Monza has just started.
And I want to see an onboard of Duncan Tappy's opening lap. |

oh my!
That moving chicane called Cimadomo should be parked. He REALLY needs some junior racing experience before being allowed back in. |

He's not the only one ... another big shunt involving Fassbender. #93 out, #55 damaged.
Edit - Rojas not pulling any punches with that interview. #30 almost certainly retired, #32 damaged as well. Cameron & Fassbender touch first, then Fassbender spins and collects a chunk of the cars behind. |

We'd need to see how they went through Ascari, but it looks amateur from both of them.

#14 spears off just before the first chicane. Safety Car again.
