In reality what changes next year if Supercars takes over?
All the AGT rounds were on the Supercars calendar this year. Do they get longer races? More track time? Or are the "competitors" just looking for the change for the sake of change? GT Competitors seem to get sick of the series organisers every few years going by the last 20 years, how long before they get sick of Supercars? From the original AA story about this potential change, did Quinn only ask for this because he felt he's lost the support of the teams? |

Do they have to put a "Super" infront of everything they do? |

there has been a bit of news in the supercar and Gt3 areas of late leading to whatever happenes with the Aust Gt series.
One of them was the Supercars Commission chairman was stepping down, which then leaves a spot in the "merged" entities for...... TQ? |

And GT3 racing loses more of its identity as it falls into the background of the Supercars branding exercise. Does anyone find the new name a little clumsy - especially considering a certain Japanese category?
If only CAMS could show some backbone. Sad day really. Nothing really to get excited about. Maybe Asian GT could see some Australians heading in that direction. |

I dare say the scheduling drama this year has been the catalyst for a no-confidence vote of TQ and the eventual change. |

Surely an organisation such as Supercars can come up with something a bit more creative instead of blatantly copying the name off another series? Im betting GTA (the organisation that runs Super GT in Japan) wont be amused to find another series trying to run under their name. Nothing wrong with Australian GT or AusGT for that matter. Keep it simple. |

Im betting Super Gt in Japan are interested in the promotion of GT3 and as result will have no significant issues Nothing wrong with SuperGT either. Just a branding exercise |

The ones quoted are the same ones who featured in the Speedcafe PR campaign against the 2017 schedule. No doubt these select competitors have won out - what am I suggesting is that it isnt all competitors and nor is it for the best |

It's funny the posters who become "GT experts" the moment Supercars get involved in running the series...
"Australian GT" and "GT3" aren't branding already? Everyone knows the series will be better off with this new ownership though, it is obvious. Supercars do everything better, just ask them |

When did the guidelines for tabling information in an online forum become so strict Mixer? Competitors are speaking - maybe you need to expand your listening skills beyond the Supercars & Speedcafe websites. Please do elaborate here. |

The worst field we've had all year had 17 GT3 cars, thats stronger then most national championships. There's twice that many cars that could run in Aus GT but due to a number of factors, some of which are outside the organisation's control, they don't turn up. With the introduction of GT4 I hope we see something similar to British GT where we have a good mix of the two classes ending up in some quite healthy fields that are consistent across the year. I think we'll have some people in GT3 drop down to GT4 next year and some go off to other pastures such as Carrera Cup with the new car but there's still quite a number of people who want the fastest cars on the grid and can afford them. |

Something has to change and burying head in the sand is not going to work. The only white knight out there appears to be supercars. either get on board with that or be prepared for gt3's death |

Amusing considering the previous management was basically ousted by the competitors with a vote of no confidence. Clearly carried by a majority.
The question of reality is a valid question. |

Also: refute that Tony Quinn was ousted by these competitors you claim are going to be so unhappy to be part of Supercars? |
