Hi George,
It sounds like you had as much fun with #8 as I did, i ran it with a BDA to start with and then bought the FVA that I guess you had when it went to you, Andrew |

Hi Andrew. Yes, it was a great car. The look of those Brabhams was an aquired taste, but I love them. Cosworth didn't make too many mistakes with their engines either. The FVA was a very special engine. I have been fortunate enough to drive Cosworth engines up to the DFV in my McLaren and they all made great music.

Has it really been two and a half years since anyone has posted on this thread?
I think I've read all 678 posts while researching a couple articles about Brabham racecars. Here's a link to the first of the articles: Brad Baker's Brabham BT30 Racecar, BT30-7 (with 52 color photos) Please don't hesitate to let me know if you spot any inaccuracies in the text. |

Absolutely stunning, thanks for posting.
I am sure you know but just in case you don't you can get rubber boots for the steering arms. Also the bracket that the accelerator pivots from holds a small bolt in that hole to act as a return stop. Great to see a wonderful piece of history returned to glory. Andrew |
