I have just seen some pictures of the VX Racing Sport Hatch's in there new livery, they seem to have picked up some backing from Hoilday Inn.

That was it, I knew he'd bought something new...couldn't remember what it was. Something in the back of my head told me at least one of the Lexus' would be in the championship this year. Guess not.

I will be doing a spotters guide for this season as per last. I'm snowed under with some other liveries first (one which should appear in Autosport next week) and with lack of SEAT Cupra images, its going to be the second, maybe third round before its all up and running.

By this time, all the cars/seats/liveries should have settled down.

- if anyone can get some decent images of the small sponsors on the Astra sill, that would be cool....and if any teams want to send me vector logos, that would be even better (yeah, like that will happen)

Possibily, but he and Fiona have done exactly the same number of meetings in it.

Gavin 6 (5 in 03 and 1 in 04)
Fiona 6 (6 in 05)

Admittadly Gavin has more BTCC experience, having raced in the Production class for three seasons.

There were only 2 races in 2003 though so Fiona will have done more races - prob works out to about the same though!

It's not the same car, is it? I thought Fiona's car was still run by Tech-speed in 2004 with Michael Bentwood.

Fiona's car is a 2004-Spec car as run by VX Racing, Thompson's I believe.

Bentwood's car was a 2003-Spec Astra - as run by VX Racing

Didn't Bentwood own the 03 car?

Aren't Vauxhall letting any of the '05 Sport Hatches go? Or is it that everyone would rather run an Integra?

I assume it's the same situation as in previous years--they wanna sell, but no one can afford them! OTOH, it looks like no one can afford even the other cars like the old 307, Foci, etc...

I think we saw last year the Astra was never as good as the Integra or even the Coupé before it.

It may have something to do with next years rule changes too, but then the Teg is BTCC spec as well.

looking at the chassis numbers at the media day they've updated last years cars rather than building new ones, there are 5 sport hatches one of which is the 2 seater plus there is a spare car, i think theres a chance leggate may use a sport hatch next year as thurlby seem to have good business links with triple 8

No Foci have ever run in BTCC, unless you mean the S2000-spec cars from the WTCC, although I doubt they would be competitive either!

Isn't the Sport Hatch in the STCC this coming season an ex-VX Racing BTCC car as well?
