You can understand the issue though.
WAU has a facility in Walkinshaw Racing with a top level engine shop, arguably not busy enough to use all the guys & girls & gear to full capacity. While WAU pays a 3rd party to supply suboptimal engines that seem to get recalibrated multiple times, and are still arguably not at the same performance level as the KRE Chevrolet units. I would probably be piddled off as well. |

Maybe WAU can homologate a Ford dashboard and produce them for the 10 cars on the grid plus the spares… you know, to show they can do it..

Ford Oil Pump Update
Three seasons in, including the test year, and they are STILL messing with basic mechanical parts.. When does it end? And shouldn’t V8Supercar be mandating an ‘all or none’ approach to rollout?? |

Couple of Ford teams with straight line speed concerns after Darwin but I'd be surprised if there are any parity reviews until after the transient dyno runs in the US & any adjustments that may be needed from those runs.

Funny they had nothing to say last round?
Never happy unless they are dominating, yet they have glaring issues with drivers, strategy and other things. You can't paritise quality of an organisation. If they spent as much time improving as they do complaining they would be unbeatable. DJR drivers are ordinary and strategy always blows. Tickford are more inconsistent than anybody else and throw away results regularly. Grove team is great but effectively have 2 rookies. No senior guy to help with setup. WAU look to be the best by some margin but also can be a rooster Friday and a feather duster by Sunday. Last edited by Mixer; 16 Jun 2024 at 23:48. |

So AVL testing shows Ford has higher peak power.
You can bet if it was the other way around there'd be a thousand posts everywhere bleating about it. Just like Sandown ended Ford's hot streak of dominant performances, with a number of team cockups and reliability issues, but "fans" have immediately blamed parity.... |

Maybe controversial as a "red" guy but I would like it if thwy just got Ford's crankshaft issue sorted.
I have seen this year incredibly close racing with no obvious disparity in straight line performance. No Camaros have flown past Mustangs or vice versa. Any easy passes come from tyre condition just like they did in Gen2. |

Ford need to stop funding under-performing teams and throw all their $$$ at T8 if they want the mustang to succeed in this category.

Definitely and Mark Rushbrook didn't do any due diligence prior to sponsoring teams that will mostly just be making up numbers on the grid. Similar with the chev teams that are simply wasting their time trying to beat T8, the erebus win last year was just blip on the radar imo.

It is hard to fathom which teams actually have Ford or Chevrolet financial support.
The stickers seem to get smaller each round, you really have to look hard to find the Chev Racing brand on the yellow cars. So, with yet another parity test on Monday, on track this time, with a cobbled together Ford engine now complete with GT3 crankshafts, and running in the BRT Mustang, against a KRE powered 888 car… will the updates from the AVL learnings find their way onto the cars successfully? As it is… blue teams will probably be praying nothing happens that takes the homologation team’s eye of building at least 10 fresh engines for Bathurst Wonder how many laps the Mustangs might run in practice when every lap with their hand grenade power trains could mean their last? Is the pool running about what lap the engines each explode? |

Losing WAU is the absolute worst for Ford, they have been head and shoulders the best Ford team.

Perhaps wouldn’t be so interesting if Bathurst wasn’t just a couple of weeks away.. |
