I wonder if the Vitaphone rumoured 430 might end up entered under the AF Corse banner ..... wasnt it AF Corse that raced the MC12 in the Fia a couple of years ago ?

I'd prefer a Vitaphone Pecsa though !!!

Jaime Melo Jr. only in Risi Competizione

I talk with Jaime Melo Jr. last month and he said that will run to Risi Competizione in ALMS 2007 and Le Mans maybe. He not run to AF Corse in FIA GT!

End-info are reporting the following .....

"Saulnier Racing to convert ex Swiss Spirit LC70 AND ex Barazi C65 to LMP2 configuration"

I did hear before that the Barazi C65 tub was being Pescarolo'd into an LMP2 and I presume the LC70 tub is the same as a LC75 tub ..... sounds like a 2 car plan to me .

Thought the color scheame from Swiss Spirit was nice though .

Yep, an interesting story......

The ex Swiss Spirit LC70 will be LMP2'd into an LC75. This will be the 'lead' car and will compete in the Le Mans Series and at Le Mans if they get an invite. The intention (although I'm not sure about 2007) is for the car to be piloted by drivers moving up to the Le Mans Series from the 'Heritage Racing' programme with which JN Investments is involved in VdeV.

The ex Barazi C65 is not, as yet, being converted to full LMP2 regs, although it was bought with that in mind. They intend to run the car at Magny Cours in the near future (the purpose of which isn't absolutely clear, sounds like they're just practicing with it and getting used to an LMP2 car). But, it may well be converted to a full regs LMP2 at some point and run as a second car for gentleman drivers.

This is a project which is anticipated to continue for a number of years. The team would like, at some point in the future, to enter LMP1.

very cool about barazi's plan's, i felt it at the start of the season we could see big things from them. and winning the LMP2 championship in the LMS proved that completely, and with the courage C65 AER as well!!!

ive dropped the ball again though regulation wise, what changes to the LMP2 regs have been made to void the courage C65's?

JN Investments has bought the Barazi car, so it's not Barazi's plan.

The last year for Hybrids was 2006, only a full Reg car with Twin Roll-over hoops and Crash tested tub etc can compete.

Creation & Zytec are rebuilding their current LMP's, but I suppose if a cheap LC70 comes along then it must be a better way for them to go.

On a wider note, I think I'm correct in saying the Swiss Spirit LMP1's ambitions were hobbled slightly by their LC70 not being properly able to accomodate the new JUDD 5.5 V10.

Nowhere, but the idea of GT2 'Vettes is nothing new. Xero and Embassy have both raced C5s there before. They would have been on a different scale to this one, though.

The roll-over structure is part of the tub, so the entire tub needs to be replaced. So it's pretty extensive.

Actually, the new tub requirement is primarily about undercar profile. You could, in theory, have a bolt on primary rollover structure.

The hybrids were basically cars that conformed to the new rules in their entirety except that the undercar profile was defined by the old tub, and the primary rollover structure was only required for the driver (secondary rollover was put in place for both driver and passenger). The new rollover pins encorporate both primary and secondary structures.

Racing fo Hollands driver lineup seems to have been unveiled by Endurance Info (http://www.endurance-info.com/static...hes.txt&npds=1)

Jan Lammers will be joined by Jereon Bleekemolen and David Hart for the the Le Mans series and Le Mans although I have read else that they plan to do some ALMS races post Le Mans, dependent on funding.

Great news RfH will enter a full LMS season.

Bleekemolen is a quick driver.
David Hart is a very good gentleman driver, but he hasn't much experience in a proto. How did he do in the G-Force Courage?
