Lustigson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I like TR's proposals, except for the Micky Mouse part in the middle of the track. I might have a go with my own version later on, but time lacks, unfortunately.

Sorry, but i dont really see your point? CG's version is nothing but straights and fast turns. It needs a bit more challenge and variety .

CG's version is nice, but it hasnt really got the 'umpf'. Theres nothing special, challenging and remarkable about it. It's just too plain and simple .

Yes but we could add a few more turns and still keep the overtaking oppertunities, I will have a go again in a mo.

Alright.

The main issue now is, that the track is too short. The only place to change this is in the infield, which is pretty much the only part we havent agreed on.

Heres v.R4.5

I dont worry that much about overtaking spots. On R4.5 theres plenty. I'd reckon T1, T9, T11 and T14 would be good, with T4, T13 and T18 also being good possibilities. Anyway, overtaking will occur whereever it occurs, that shouldnt be the main priority of the track, that would mean sacrificing the variety and challenge .

cant see that one luke, yes royksopp it does need a slow section .... but we have the snail and the spoon section, with the bit you add make it look to cluttered, as i said we need to get a mix of everyones ideas in here thats why before i edit it again im going to see what everyone else brings to the table. But i think get rid of the second kink where the old long t2 used to be and conect it where i had it but keep the first ???? and we could have a good mix for that bit then, well thats how i feel. also i think variety is important but its also important to have places to overtake but having to many places will just wreck it.

Now i see it . And sorry, i dont like it. As CG's, it just hasnt got the 'umpf' .

Almost all of your track is straights-corners-straights-corners. There's almost nothing in the way of variety, and the circuit wouldnt be that much of a challenge for the drivers. You also lack some unique and exciting sections .

Sorry if i was a bit too harsh on you .

LMAO TR im not trying to cause an arguement here as things are getting out of hand but you say his lacks unique sections some of your tracks are modeled around tilkie rings .... thats not unique .

sorry if that sounds harsh dont mean it to cuz i like alot of your tracks mate they are very good.

MW, did you see the new one of mine .

It doesnt necessarily have to be slow, but the track, as it is a MTR, should be more than just 'standard' straights and corners. There should be something special about it .

And here's my edit. I based it on TR's last edit, since luke's was, more or less, a train wreck.

WHOA!!!... Now that's it... I swear, that's it... ...

Now tr, honestly, you like to put in too many corners in your tracks, and when you made this circuit then I think you really changed the persona a tad too much...

Now, I think that the circuit posted right above me by fw, is it. I'll tell you why. It's got a great mix of long, medium and short straights. I desperately wanted a chicane in the circuit somewhere, and the last few corners is just that... Turn 3 is awesome, very long tight corner... There are the tricky sections such as the Shanghai thingy and the esses...

I'm not good a judging length of a circuit, but I think that this is about 4 - 4.5km, which is more then enough. If it's not, then don't ruin the circuit by adding more sections into it, but just change the scale if need be ...

Here is fw's circuit just a minor change on the long Turn 3...

OK. I'm going on a little holiday to Coolangatta (around 800kms north of Sydney)... I'm leaving tomorrow and I'll be there for a week (10th to 17th)...

I hope that the circuit doesn't change too much in the time I'm gone ...

If I should be the one to post the track on FT and post it as the 7500th post in this topic, then it may be a bit touch and go, because that's only 175 posts away...

I'll see what's been happening when I get back... Cyas ...
