My thought is that maybe WTR did a quali set-up and everyone else did a race set-up ... i have no clue .... that gap is ridiculous.

Easy to think the pole winner is the obvious favorite. I think BMW, Ford, and Porsche will all be right there for the race. Corvette does appear to be trailing this go around.

Seems the reason for the 15 point penalty is that the severity of the infraction would likely see the team kicked out of a SRO championship or other European and FIA GT3-based championships for the rest of the season under their technical regulations.

Also seems that the team themselves are responsible for the issue this time, not Lamborghini like the air restrictor deal at Daytona last year. Penalty is also partly explained due to the fact that it might have gone unnoticed for several races.

Weather update: Still only a slight chance for rain, but I checked the radar and there seemed to be a pretty hefty shower to the east of the track when I peeked at it on Weather Underground.

Where I live, anymore when a 20+% chance of rain is predicted, it'll probably rain at least once for 5-10 minutes during the day or night.

No commentators on the IMSA.Tv stream yet, but those were some thick black clouds on the stream.

Onscreen graphics still list 90 as a Riley, but it is a Ligier they're running now. With no Mazda, there is no Riley based car on the grid.

Nope, but PC gets coverage by having one going into the tires for a FCY.

That PC off was...pathetic. Sorry, I'm not normally that harsh on Ams but that was awful.

Despite the race starts being split, it took half a lap for the PC field to interfere with the GTLM lead battle.

Brilliant job by the marshals to get the car recovered already. Very impressive. Shame it had to be recovered. Could they not have put it on a flatbed and drove it straight to the skip?

Corvette's dont look good so far. They are in another timezone all by themselves at the back of GTLM. best laps so far 2:05:1....The rest of the GTLM grid is 2:04 and under.
