Spoonerboro - we've been together as a group over a year, something tells me we will never be organised!!!!!

I'm not going to drink this weekend Lorna the baileys is all yours.

I think Paul and Kaz are going shopping for me, so let me know and I'll ask them to bring what ever is required!

SL - as you remembered last time - i'll try and remember the totally covered in chocolate jaffa's

Regretfully I will not be at Oulton as first, it is to far towards the frozen North for my liking and secondly I might be going to Spain for the weekend.

I will be at Silverstone for the night race, assuming that the camping can be arranged.

That's the same as the provisional timetable on the official site so it aint getting any better than that. Does seem like a late start but when you look at the support races, I suppose if they had started any earlier we would be finished by mid afternoon.

the timetable is a later start because apparantely a website/chat forum have organised a bit of a bbq and party and in the spirit of the regualtions richard west has allowed the drivers and supporters extra time to recover before the action to begin

i.e time to get that cooked breakfast whilst taking various headache tablets and hangover remidies!!

Cheers Woodyracing!
Send my regards to the RedShoes signs... got one at each visit to OP last year...
My car will probably be out in the hands of Ingram and likely to be visiting the scenery I would have thought... so remember to cheer.

Where did you think the schedule came from, or did you just think I made it up ?

I'll give Richard West a call and offer to organise an egg and spoon race for earlier in the day if there are any takers.

Oooh! Egg and spoon race! Haven't done that since I was at school! Is this before or after drinks?

I've had another response from Oulton Park people:

"Yes there is camping available on a first come, first served basis, as there is limited space. The charge is £5.00 per unit for the weekend.

Camping is available from Friday evening after 5.30pm."

Spooner, I have two disposable bbq's that I will be bringing. We just need someone to bring burgers now. I remembered to pick up some cheese slices cos I know Mr Antill is rather partial to them on his burgers

Unfortunatly the Spanish weekend is not to be this week.

How far is this Northern outpost from deep rural tropical Sussex, in driving hours from M25 Heathrow?? What food is required for the penquins etc.

Well, that was rather fun wasn't it? Production class was excellent, Clios were reasonably enjoyable, and the Tourers weren't bad.. Hell - I even enjoyed the Formula Renaults

Cheering for all 'our' drivers in the production class was cool, although I don't think we made too many friends on Knickerbrook - this is how the conversation went:

10/10ths: "parp, parp!!"
disgruntled spectators: "Do you know how much you're spoiling it for us? blah blah.."

Ooops. Still, good fun anyway

Paul O'Neill, what happened to your car in the sprint race? We heard that you had two wayward front wheels.. Annie T spun in front of us, John had trouble with his gears, Nick Beaumont suffered engine problems, James Levy retired early too - I'm beginning to think we're cursed

Oh yeah, cheers for flashing your lights at us during the warm-up laps John! You certainly got a lot of peoples' attention..

Where were the rest of you lurking? Woodyracing?

hi everyone,

i was down at Oulton. Nice weather, good racing, big crowds.
For the first few races i was at Knickerbrook on the infield (in the very corner). Then i was at the bottom of Lodge hill for the FRenault and 2nd Clios, and finished off at Cascades.

Couldn't find any of you guys, and my mobile is incoming only at the mo.

whats the next race planned ?

Woody.

Silverstone! for the BTCC.

Enjoyable weekend. Usual drunkered laughter in the campsite on the Saturday night. Thanks for popping over and saying hello, Toni, James, John and Paul. It was nice to see you all living and breathing after my bbq cooking!

I will repeat what was said by the camping people "don't bring sausages again!" Darned things wouldn't cook.

All we have to do now is get the system rolling of swapping appropriate caps when approaching appropriate team. Although Maisie's idea of a totem pole style cap display would solve the problem. Just hope there aren't any low bridges around!
