bf1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I thought that Ampferer was just in charge of the customer department not the motorsport division boss (well I suppose he was as all they are doing at the moment is looking after customer 911s)but I always thought that he had a superior in the motorsport end of things but since the last works effort that superior just did other work and left Ampferer to the 911s

So who is replacing him and where is being moved to?

I cant remember his name , but I read it in Motoring News or Autosport in the last two weeks . I was under the impression that Herbert Ampferer was over the motorsport side of things though ! Anyone know for sure ? He is being moved into the Environment and Emissions Division according to that report . Good

Well I don't see how Porsche's so called entry in Grand-Am is a good indicator of what their potential reliability may be when they contest Le Mans in the future. And, if you factor the 956 years the 962 design was still older than the R8. Also, the 962 was up against top flight manufacturers. The R8 has only been up against Bentley at Le Mans (lost) and BMW in the ALMS (won).

Porsche only came up against serious opposition at LM in 1987 and would have lost if the Jags had reliabiltiy.

In 88 and 90 they lost to Jaguar and in 1989 they lost to Sauber Mercedes.
