A general and not specific to Sutton observation: the rules are the rules, and if you can only go quickly by breaking the rules then you can only expect to have times removed.
Not BTCC, but I've had MSA/Motorsport UK stewards come and stand behind me more than once because they felt I was being too harsh. I wasn't, and they departed to deal with the problems. I neither strongly agree nor strongly disagree with the rules as written, but if I (or colleagues of mine) are expected to enforce them consistently then that's what we'll do. |

What a crazy session that was. Great lap by Dan Cam to go on pole and good to see Turkington alongside him. Great session for HARD with Bobby Thompson in the top 6 and Jack Butel coming 13th

Looked like Halstead went full throttle through that from Hamilton’s onboard, very close.

Didn’t catch Pearson stalling on the grid. Gets another chance now!

I do hope whoever reported that got "and in the ensuing melee" into their radio call.
Nasty crash. |

Well, my comment about Turkington having his prime time behind him hasn't aged well and I'm happy about it - great performance.
Nice to see Fords so fast compared to last year. Hope for Ash's win in R2. And what a beautiful move by Ingram! Btw is there any corrected timetable after this terrible delay? |

Rowbottom gets the blame for the Jelley crash. Penalty points and a reprimand.
