Is a $3000 fine and exclusion from a meaningless session any sort of punishment?

Its more than likely not true, especially since the team announced it was changing engine suppliers when announcing Mr Little's appointment yesterday, so the team put themselves on the radar..

...but imagine... it could have been a heck of a way to embarrass a team in front of prospective 2015 sponsors, who are said to be at Sandown this weekend...

It is either true or its not... Any sporting organisation has rules and prescribed penalties. Were they audited to find something? Maybe.

Also I think if there was anything in it we wouldn't have seen this:

LDM did not comply with the rules related to engine data compliance. The team admitted to it. So its true in regards to the illegal action by admission.

If this data was a regularly collected item by the category technical bods, and 24 cars complied, and one didnt, its not quite a targeted attack..

Why is rally Australia on this weekend

jsut seems odd to put it up against a key v8 round. last weekend or next weekend would make more sense

How are the diff ratios decided on? There has been a lot of limiter-bashing at various tracks this year, which seems like it would make it harder for drivers to overtake than it could be.

Valid point.

The cars are getting off the corners better than they ever have, not to mention that they're a lot slipperier aerodynamically too.

The 2 heat races were a good watch.. the cars and pilots were pushing super hard, and chasing, passing, and repassing one another.

What is the difference though, between this event and other races? Its rare to see so many cars line astern without safety cars, and indeed for so long.

The result was predictable, and repetitive (not knocking the work 888 put in, but the same winner so often can break one's spirit)... hopefully others' strategy can put them into the mix when sheer outright speed is not their friend.

Of interest too, Mr Lowndes' new #888.. doesnt seem very happy under him. Perhaps the brainstrust at 888 who said they knew what they were doing with rolling out new cars dont quite have that down pat. Having said that, Mr Lowndes will probably come out and with the race by a country mile tomorrow. Its still a risk to debut a new machine in an enduro... I recall Team Dynamik's new car debuted at Bathurst that was cranky & recalcitrant, or Nissan Motorsport's 1986 Skyline that Mr Fury debuted at Bathurst. Both disappointing for the drivers, teams & sponsors...

Has anyone's picks changed from yesterday?
