Arena are a great squad - but something's just gone wrong this season, that boxy Ford just isn't turning out to be a good race car.

Can't tell if it's the car, the team, or the drivers. I know what I think.

Very late release by the safety car - nearly a repeat of the WTCC Pau incident.

6 laps to go, and James Nash leads!

He'll be under massive pressure from Turkington though.

I was hoping Owy was on for another podium but he seemed to get taken by surprise when the SC came out.

got the turns wrong but carnage as predicted. i can see Nash being DQ'd for that nudge on Collard, shame cos i'd love to see him get a win

If Nash holds on at the re-start do you think he'll be allowed to keep the win?

He looks about 40 in that.

Will Nash get a penalty for his tap on Collard?

I would hope so.

The incident with Collard was 50/50, in my opinion.

I assume O'Neiil flat-spotted his tyres avoiding the SC accident as he seemed to lose so much pace on the re-start.

Either that or he damaged his splitter or radiator rear-ending Turks. It was disappointing really.

Tim Wilkinson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Question - is it professional, or even allowable (blue flags?) for a lapped driver, out of the points, to get involved in a points battle by driving as if he was fighting for position?

And well done James Nash . A racing incident with Collard - seemed to be the same cause as Owy (a good day for him, pleasingly) holding up Thommo, just Thommo has more experience and backed off and lost himself a place rather than keeping foot in.

if jonny neil got done for hitting plato then nash should for collard. be interesting to see if they do, or are we then going to start talking about bias towards chevrolet? either way its good to see a new boy up top even if it might not stay that way

Having thought about it, I suspect he will be allowed to keep the win but get a fine and/or points on his licence, same as Plato got for taking out Neal at Croft. If Collard had been spun out but recovered to 2nd the positions would have been reversed but DQing Nash only hands a more points to Turkington which isn't really fair.

No that was a racing incident and I'll be dissapointed if the result is changed. What is a driver meant to do when a car starts creeping across in front of you? Slow down or steer on to the grass? Don't think so, keep your foot planted. It's just unfortunate it had the outcome of badly damaging two BMW's.

Has it been confirmed it was Mr Chilton who layed the oil down all the way to the Esses? That was nice of him.

Or doesn't keep the championship as close as Gow likes it.

It's a bit of a fluky result anyway, but that's what these reverse grids are for.

Great win for James - championship has now swung towards a Gio vs. Turkington affair a bit, with Neal and Plato falling back quite a bit.

Show's how many points there are in a weekend though - it's far from over.

To be fair though, Nash did knock him offline entering the right hander at the Esses, meaning he had to come across more to defend from him and the resulting incident occurred.

It's a serious point though - Turkington, Giovanardi, etc should not benefit from another driver's penalty resulting from an incident they had nothing to do with.

Of course whether Nash actual deserves a penalty is another matter. It might have resulted in a lot of damage but it was a relatively minor initial impact.
