Hi,
I've seen some FN lately and I think it's a good car.
Does anyone know, where to buy a FN car and what's the average price of the cars?

The engine test of FN was done in Suzuka on 8th and 9th in September.
An electric power steering was tested there.
The use of the power steering is scheduled to be admitted in 2010.
The test driver was Satoshi Motoyama, Yuji Ide, Daisuke Ito, and Takuto Iguchi.

JRP prohibited the use of "third element" from 8th round.
It is said that the reason why Nakajima racing progresses is "third element" that controls the pitching of the damper.
Reserver tank connected with two dampers seems to have controlled the pitching.
Two or more team are using this third element now.

AUTOSPORT reported the third element problem of FN.
The outline is as follows.

Nakajima Racing used the third element of dumper from 1st round.
It was a mechanism that reserver tank tied to a right and left damper prevents the pitching.
Team Dandelion used the same as Nakajima type third element from 4th round.
The number of team of Toyota including Team Le mans used mechanical type's bump stopper from 6th round.
JRP prohibited the team the use of mechanical type's third element(of dumper) on August 14.
On the other hand, the participant protested when it was necessary to prohibit the third element of the Nakajima type.
JRP was announced on August 19 that even 7th round would admit the use of both third elements.
JRP prohibited the use of all third elements on September 2.

Treluyer has been racing in Japan since 2000. Graduated to FNippon in 2002 after winning Japanese F3. Duval went over in 2006 straight into FNippon, having finished 6th in F3 the same year Lewis. Andre Lotterer (who sounds French but is German) moved over in 2003

Also there's the Irish contingent of Lyons and Firman, who's only doing Super GT these days

There's always been a nice mix of nationalities doing FNippon. It used to be alternative series of choice back in the 90s - Frentzen, Irvine, Ratzenberger, Fontana, Weidler, Salo, Ross Cheever, Pirro, Lammers, Thackwell, Johansson, Acheson, Kristensen, Krosnoff and Geoff Lees all had a go in the 80s and 90s, as well as Ralf Schu, DLR, Mauro Martini and Apicella who won it. Even Michael had a brief go in between his WSC outings, and picked up a podium - news to me as well

As in Jeff Krosnoff? Was that as a result of the Le Mans Supra drive or did that help him get it?

Not sure if it has been mentionned already on this forum but Benoit Treluyer decided to not enter formula Nippon anymore.

He will focus on Japanese Super GT and Sports car in Europe and America

Yeah, Jeff. He had quite close ties to Toyota - I'm pretty sure he was in FNippon with them before Le Mans. I think he drove with a Toyota engine in CART as well

The steering of FN09 is very heavy.
So, the use of the power steering is scheduled to be admitted in FN at the next season.
It is an electric power steering made by KYB(Kayaba). It costs three million yen.
However, two or more team oppose this for the reasons of too costly.

"Internationalized" S-GT and "isolated" FN

Audi announced the works team joining of Treluyer and Lotterer.
The foreigner driver that had come to Japan up to now was participating in both S-GT and FN.
However, it was shown Treluyer and Lotterer were to participate in S-GT at intervals when the race activity was done in Europe.
This showed that the top driver in Europe was able to participate in S-GT.
This is good for S-GT.
However, the foreigner driver of S-GT might not participate in FN by this.
The existence value of FN is exactly asked now.
