I don't think so. Bourdais was ChampCar rookie of the year by a mile and has since won 2 successive titles, and should make it 3. Yet, despite the comparative importance of having a French driver in F1, noboidy has come close to signing him.

Well, the way American racing is it is hard to return to F1. But if you do well, you can't really do much more can you?

And Bourdais has been given a chance or two. He has been offered test roles, which aren't ideal I know. But, it's a chance. He can always return to Champcar if it doesn't work out but has chosen not to. He wants to race.
