Excellent news. With any luck, they'll swap Le Mans for the 4 Hours of Dubai the following year.

P2 field will be strong next year - https://www.dailysportscar.com/2022/...-two-lmp2.html
Slightly less cars but an uptick in driving quality and teams who can win. |

Now that Formula 1 has confirmed the cancellation of the Chinese GP next year, apparently next week it will be confirmed it will be replaced by a race at Portimão. On the same April 16th weekend the WEC race is scheduled... Feels like the 24h of Spa-Francorchamps situation all over again.

Silverstone would be nice, but my guess would be Barcelona. The ELMS races the weekend after at the circuit and Barcelona is not much of a detour for the freight.

I’d much rather see them at somethinglike the Sachsenring but then someone will probably say the circuit doesn’t have the right licence to host or some such.

Zandvoort! No, I think the main issue with most tracks would be the pitlane. It’ll likely be one of the more well known tracks simply because they can host a series like WEC while many others can’t (although I’d personally love a place like Sachsenring, Salzburgring, Zandvoort or even Dijon or Magny Cours)

Time for Davidstow to be reinstated. It's been a while since it hosted a GP race

The Circuit of Wales must be nearly finished by now. That's going to be 3.5 miles when it's completed - ideal.

They’ll sell the tickets anyway, so in a way no.
But they like to put on a good show and for those attending it was brilliant. |

I’m sure it does. Must be more, but it’s going to be pretty full whatever.

A glimmer of hope in the article for a return to Silverstone, but I'm definitely not holding my breath. |

Silverstone would be good and well attended but not sure the WEC take much notice of that

Yes
'The addition of Qatar to the calendar means there will be at least a four-year period with two races in the region, as the WEC announced last year an extension of its deal with Bahrain International Circuit through 2027.' |

This is better news. Glickenhaus still aiming to do 2023 season with one car.
