I can almost hear Jr nation saying, "David Sucks!" right now. Great job to all the chasers, well except Kahne....
Anyway, guess where I'll be next Sunday |

Way to Mark! that's what i'm talkin about!
good side by side racing. i take back what i said about this being one of my least fav tracks. there was some slideways door to door action. there were comments about knowing how much car you have and how much talent you have. JR didn't think the 00 couldn't tell much of nothin. looked to me like what had been going on all day with loose cars and hard drivin. burton and john paul had a similar dice and both came out relatively unscathed. |

Are you saying that Jr lacked the talent to save his car? Seriously, I've never seen him mad at someone before. |

Junior just lacks the talent, period. Take out his record at 'plate races, where he did well off the back of RCR technology which was passed on to DEI, and he doesn't look so clever any more.
It he was Dale Ordinary Jr., I doubt he'd even have a Sprint Cup drive. |

Montoya (but I can live with Martin as a winner)

Absolutely! JPM couldn't very well have wrecked Mark Martin; that would have been like killing, cooking, and eating Bambi.
Great veteran move from the #5, but I doubt he'll get away with pulling it on the #42 a second time! |

take away the "gift anyone could have done it" plate wins and he still has 10 victories. pretty good for having no talent. i mean it's obvious he's no Jimmie J or Jeff Gordon cause he can't get it done in the most expensive cars in the series like they have.

Is it just me or is Clive trying to make crap up? I don't like JR that much, but I wouldn't talk crap about him. I don't even know what he's talking about with the Martin and Montoya thing.

I can't think that Junior's equipment is in any way inferior to the #5, 14, 24, 39, or 48. Six HMS cars, one fails to make the 'Chase.... go figure!
As for the Martin/Montoya thing, I came to praise Mark Martin, not to bury him. I thought it was a great veteran move, which won him the race. |

Crikey, Juan Pablo has really got the hang of things now, at long last.
I might seriously have to think about watching the races again!! Can he really be a contender for the title now?? |

. . . and it took three years with a lot of neigh sayers, a gritty band of loyal fans and total commitment of Juan to the series and to Chip and his team. It's a great feeling to see what's transpiring. |

The thing is, though, you always knew the potential was there. Right from the off, IMO, he has equipped himself very well in NASCAR. It isn't like he has transformed from awful to very good, out of nowhere, this season. It is just that things have come together.
It is one of the things that I really, really like about NASCAR. It is known and accepted that it takes a long time (2 or 3 years) to get settled properly, and all that. There isn't this mentality of people being doomed after 5 bad races at the start kind of thing. Contrary to some ignorant opinions out there, NASCAR is not easy to do well in. People who show potential are given time, and, as we see with Juan, for good reason. |

Excellent finish. I thought it daft to give Montoya the inside as he has been able to get down low most of the race. However Hamlin spoilt enough and it was his - well done MM.
And well done JPM. |
