Well we might just see an improvement from AJR at Laguna 'cause they've received MASSIVE weight adjustment from IMSA, 75kg... makes the car -125kg underweight, plus on top of that the existing restrictor break helps too. Porsche and Aston were adjusted again as well

Second TRG Porsche added to GTC, too. Black Swan's absence also means that Jeroen Bleekemolen returns to category he knows the best

Hi All! Here's the Mazda Raceway preview from the Bryan Sellers camp, covering the upcoming and exciting challenges of the 2.238 mile, 11 turn circuit: http://conta.cc/J80z27
Half of the team heads out today, and the rest of us head out tomorrow. If you're at the event, come by and say hello! I'll try to check in here when I can. If you're on twitter, follow at @FalkenALMS (I also usually end up giving twitter lessons at the track, if anyone needs them) |

I think it's really time for IMSA to pull out the LMP1 cars like the ELMS is doing. Such a pity watching 2 cars only in the top class!

ALMS is the only place where a P1 team can win overall right now on the planet so they do have that carrot that they can dangle for teams. Granted only 2 teams (dyson, muscle milk) have bitten off of it so, who knows if this will continue. I'm sure they will evalute this later in the year as 2013 is a year that could see changes in the class structure in ALMS on the GT side for sure. Maybe LMP too while they are at it. But thats just speculation on my part.

Being 6 hours long this is one of those unpredictable races. I really would like to see the Aston Martin win it. They got the drivers and the speed. Reliablity is the question mark. If not them then I will cheer for a Porsche or a Ferarri since neither none of those brands has one in GT yet this year.
Overall...well with only 2 P1 cars, reliability issues can throw this race amuck and we could really see an unexpected winner I feel. |

I somehow think that Cytosport will screw it one way or another... again
I bet the Robertsons, RSR, West Racing and other former bottom running teams bursted into flames when they saw what gifts Alex Job had received after just one single weekend... where the car didn't really even have any meaningful running Last edited by Deleted; 8 May 2012 at 16:49. |

I fully expected a non LMP1 winner at select ALMS races last season, but that never happened. Maybe this year we could see and LMP2 or LMPC take the overall honors. Heck, a GT could be a possibility if something really drastic happens.

Well we almost had LMPC as overall winner last year, at Baltimore... I think it's a bit unrealistic to think that GT could archieve that this year or in the future, mostly thanks to surprisingly healthy LMPC field. Well unless we have a whacko wet race with everybody crashing somewhere
Out of my memory the highest overall places for GT cars happened when the GT1 Corvettes finished second and third @ 2006 Reliant Park GP |

Has Andy given any indication of when the Monterey Spotter Guide will be out? I see some sort of Spotter Guide on the ALMS website, but it doesn't seem like the final version (missing Libra at the very least)

Sorry for the delay, was waiting on some things, but the Ten-Tenths supported ALMS guide is now online.
If you dont need the guide immediately, I would hold off in case there are any updates. Note, TRG #66 and #68 have swapped drivers with Krohn and co now in the #68, complete with KR branding. This was confirmed by TRG (who are always very helpful) earlier today You can download the guide at http://www.spotterguides.com/2012-almswec/ Thanks to Grant and Ten-Tenths for their continued support |

never heard of this Duart Felix De Costa chap in the Libra, his Wikipedia profile is not too complementary, 3 years in single seaters and never won a race......looks like he has more money than talent, lets hope he keeps it on the track......google translator didnt work too well on this feature below

I think this is a bit more complete. Did compete in all 5 Blancpain races last year, ended up tied with team mates for 3rd in the Pro-Am points standings. |

Looks like Cocker will be in the Dempsey car that is brilliant news!
Potential WEC/or ALMS drive next season and a trip to LM if he impresses, which I'm sure he will! LMP2 is an absolute ARMS RACE at the moment across the board with the talent being brought in. Really great to see. |
