The plan was to run both the Oak Coupe and old Oak-Pescarolo (no rebrands for me ) but Road America crash has made it unlikely according to the team.

So since we know for a fact that there won't be lovely complete darkness as it is confirmed that floodlights will be used for the event, but taking into account that they are not designed with F1/Bikes (Qatar/YasMarina/Bahrain/Singapore) or NASCAR (Daytona etc) in mind do we think it's gonna look like
this or this or daylight... If I had to guess I'd say it will be similar to the 2012 Bahrain when they didn't have the F1 floodlights yet (even if 2013 WEC used them in only 60 % capacity it was nevertheless bright as hell) but the circuit lighting was still relatively bright https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOXJUAdlDF0&t=341m30s |

Interesting point Chiana. It'll probably resemble Yas Marina on the front straight and Bahrain on the rest of the circuit.

It seems like there is a giant video screen every 100 feet around that place, so I imagine it won't be that dark.

Some American teams have been testing there recently
http://jalopnik.com/heres-your-circu...gal-1629233344 Cannot see any new massive floodlight posts in the immediate surroundings (not that they have to be very visible) |

Porsche have changed the driver line ups in GTE-Pro for the rest of the season.
#91 - Jörg Bergmeister & Richard Lietz #92 - Frédéric Makowiecki & Patrick Pilet Nick Tandy is entered as the third driver in #91 in case Lietz isn't fit to race at COTA. |

mako/pilet is a great pair! but I think that the 991 will remain uncompetitive without a bop weight break

Only a few were operable last year for the WEC race. Also, I'd recommend bringing a small flashlight for walking in the pedestrian area, in case it isn't lit well when walking between areas.

I said that back in April here and many times after that, check my post history. IIRC it was Dagys who confirmed that sometime in the spring. Even the "whole race live" was re-confirmed by Bob Varsha on twitter few weeks ago.
Not that any of it matters, as I said it's positive. Ahahahha. Repeating that will never. ever. get. old. Whether I say something positive or negative doesn't matter to you, it's always the same. Throwing wood to fire isn't gonna take the flames off either. If I complain = I'm being accused of complaining (whether I had good arguments or not) If I don't complain = I'm being ridiculed for not complaining Maybe I should just comment by posting animated reaction gifs instead of text? Oh right I've been told to avoid them too Last edited by Deleted; 8 Sep 2014 at 18:13. |

---------------------------------------------------------------------- I am really looking forward to this race now. Hopefully Porsche have upped their game a bit in terms of race pace and we get all 3 teams on a level where they can win the race. As others have said it will be interesting to draw comparisons to what goes on in the IMSA race, and the relative differences between both P2 and GT. |
